Hi everyone
Went to the traveling DIsney 100 exhibit in Philly ---it was awesome ---need to get a later day ticket ---we went at 3 pm (closes at 5 ) and really had alot of time and room! to look at/read all the displays ---Staff said when it opened over weekend it was mobbed !---can't imagine having a good time w loads of people --too much in cases to see, and too many plaques to read! think it's in Philadelphia unti August 2023 ??

I was there on Saturday 2/26 and it was busy but still had plenty of time and got to see everything. LoVed it!

Thanks for the reminder!

One of my kids wants to do TooManyGames in Philly late June so I think we’re going to do a family weekend :drive:

We’re going March 28.
Replying to myself here - we ended up going on Thursday and spent almost exactly two hours in the exhibit (slightly longer with the gift shop). ..

So if anyone else is wondering I would say two hours is just about right on a not-so-busy day - also, there are no bathrooms in the exhibit areas and you can't leave the exhibit to go to the bathroom once you are in there so plan for how much time you can spend without a bathroom break as well!
Thanks for the bathroom tip!

Thank you for posting this. We are heading down to a Sixers game in a few weeks and thinking of making a stop here first.

Thank you! We are planning to go in April but I am nervous about Philly driving. Will be parking the car at the hotel and using rideshare for sure!

OP, are there unique things in the gift shop? Did you see the soundtrack for the exhibit for sale?

Franklin Institute is about a couple blocks off of one of the main highways so if you can do Interstate driving, it shouldn't be an issue driving in Philly. There's a parking garage attached to the museum where the elevator takes you right into the museum lobby. Be warned that the turns in there are tight so if you have a larger vehicle you'll have to do a lot of back and forth maneuvering.

I didn't notice anything unique in the gift shop that you couldn't buy elsewhere.

Thank you! I have been dreading the trip so I cancelled the hotel about three hours ago. I hope everyone that goes enjoys the exhibit!

We went today. It was wonderful!

Parked on street right across from the Fells entrance. It was $7.90 to park for three hours.

Did the 11:30 “show time” for Disney. Walked right in. Lots to read and look at. The museum was daily quiet- so didn’t get pushed through and had time to soak it all in.

Three hours was plenty to do Disney, the rest of the museum and have a bite in the cafeteria. I wanted to do a pizzeria a few blocks away, but DS insisted on the cafeteria. Overall, the food wasn’t bad at all, just expensive.

It was cute to see people wandering through the exhibit with their Spirit Jerseys, etc on.

Wouldn't you just take the train and walk to the museum from 30th St. station? Why bother driving?

I used to live in the neighborhood. Very well versed on the street parking there.

FWIW, trains are still on the modified schedule. Although, if we had taken the train- Sub station is closer. As it turned out, it was cheaper for me to park and quicker to get home than train.

Thanks for posting this, I wasn't sure if was going to be worth the trip, flying from NC, but we're now thinking we'll go in early June and do the evening exhibit-only tickets on a Saturday.

It's going to Chicago next, and then Kansas City, for anyone interested not able to make it to Philly by late August.
