Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

I didnt realize it was one huge building I thought it was like 5 seperate ones, it looks massive in pictures, I havent seen it in person. I know i will this time. So im thinking maybe shuttle transportation like they have from kidani to jambo 🤔
Are you saying for LSL?

No single structure WDW resort has a shuttle. Riviera doesn't have a shuttle from the east to the west wing. You walk it.

Everything will branch out from the main lobby. The back of the resort will have pools and A Frame structures. Disney will probably build them a small dedicated parking lot like the Cabins at CCV if they're far from the main lot (this wasn't feasible at PVB for the bungalows). Outside of that I don't see any cars or busses heading near Bay Lake.

I see what you guys are saying, I was incorrect about the size, I guess I never stayed at a far away room in any hotel so I didnt realize how big akv and bwv are 🤣🤣 But yes, its def not as massive as I believed and im sure the walk will be fine 🤣🤣 this actually makes me very happy 😀

I never felt like it was overly large for a resort or a DVC - my only problem with the size of it is the proximity to Fort Wilderness Settlement, where it towers massively over the old western theming, and how the A-frames are right on the Fort Wilderness beach just feet from the Fort's boat dock.

Certainly Boardwalk can feel huge when you get a room all the way down by the tennis courts or the croquet lawn...but also like Boardwalk, it looks like those down the far end of Lakeshore Lodge can walk out a side door and cut through the pool or back area to get around the resort and not have to go down the long inside halls. And as I unfortunately fear may happen, some at the far end of Lakeshore Lodge or the A-frames on that side may find the Fort Wilderness boat to be much closer than their own and just use that...hopefully not overwhelming the poor Fort Wilderness boats (which is why I'm curious if it will still be its own boat, or if they'll merge all three properties to one boat and 3 stops with more boats running the route...I really hope Fort Wilderness can stay on its own boat route with the cute little canopy boats).

Is it still estimated to have 900 rooms? That’s 3x Riviera and 2x BWV. That is going to be a lot of pressure at booking the more desirable resorts at the 7 month mark, as I’m guessing after the “newness” wears off this will be a heavily traded out of resort like SSR.

Good point - though the area and hallway lengths aren't really any bigger than Boardwalk, it looks like at some parts Lakeshore Lodge is up to 8 or 9 stories, vs Boardwalk's 4-5. So that does mean a lot more rooms.

Lakeshore will be a mix of hotel and DVC and as far as I am aware, yes it is still estimated to be around 900 rooms.

Comparing it to Riviera is hard because Riviera is ONLY DVC, no hotel component.
Comparing it to Boardwalk is more realistic, however you used only one side of the boardwalk.

You would have to include both Villas and Hotel (Inn) sections of the Boardwalk resort, which appears to be 910 rooms, right around the same as Lakeshore will be.

So with similar rooms numbers, lakeshore will be taller, but actually less spread out than Boardwalk, which doesn't seem that bad.

The original Reflections concept which was announced as DVC and hotel was something in the range of ~399 DVC units (308 not LO/399 w/ LO) and ~557 hotel units.

Now granted since construction started again Disney has said basically nothing other than noting it in future DVC resort plans so nothing is official. Personally I think it will remain as originally conceived as a hybrid DVC/hotel and the unit count breakdown makes a lot of sense to me, generally speaking.
