Photo op with the animatronic Witch from Snow White
Have they done this before? Is this inside the attraction? Just wondering how they manage the photo with the attraction in operation.

I'd be disappointed if it's the witch who appears on the upper level outside the attraction, opening and closing the curtains.

The Photo opps take place in a room at Tour Gardens as the tour begins. Last year, it was the 3 Hitchhiking ghosts from Haunted Mansion. It will be old hag/witch not the Queen this year.

Has anyone done this previously? I wonder where the reserved viewing is, I am skeptical it is going to be in the VIP area.
I,too, am anxious to have this confirmed...someone (maybe @LKing ?) that it was in Small World. I am tempted by the photo op, though...I will def do if viewing is on front of castle.

We did this last year and the VIP viewing spot was near Its a Small World. Got there and fireworks were cancelled. The main reason we did the tour 😭

I've heard wildly different stories about the viewing locations in 2024. So far, it's been Small World, in front of castle, or Jolly Holiday patio. One of the reports was that it was moved away from Small World due to complaints.

This tour is only worth it if the firework viewing is in front of the castle like it was in 2023. I wouldn't do it if it's in front of small world.

I called Disneyland special activities/VIP tours today. They were light on details, but said that last year the viewing area was in front of the castle, on the Frontierland side. This checks out with an October 2024 online review (maybe TripAdvisor?) which says their viewing was between Jolly Holiday and Adventureland. It sounds like the original viewing area was near Small World, but was moved due to complaints and cancellations.

As for the location of the animatronic, they suspect it will be located where the hitchhikers were.

I booked this tour last year but cancelled once I saw reviews saying the viewing spot was in front of Small World. I actually checked in with the Tours staff because my refund for the tour hadn't come through. I mentioned the reason why I cancelled and the staff told me that Disney had moved the viewing spot back to in front of the castle that week, after negative feedback from people who were disappointed with the other spot!

Well, I guess we will have to wait until somebody goes on tour in August and reports back...Jolly Holiday /Adventureland seems awfully far back and what about the trees on that side?

I took these photos from the Jolly Holiday patio. Technically further back, but you get the idea.

Is the priority sitting or having a good view? "Access to reserved viewing" doesn't sound like a seat. If it was Small World, I think they would have marketed it as both parade and fireworks viewing.

With PTN going down Main Street just before fireworks, the crowd dynamic is going to be different. Main Street is empty until the parade passes. We watched PTN from the curb near Plaza Point a couple of weeks ago. After the last float passed (around 9:25 pm), everyone gathered in the street for fireworks. This was the same moment in Wondrous Journeys as Mrjoshua's third picture. It was taken from the middle of Main Street near Plaza Point. While we waited for PTN, as soon as it was over, we just walked to the middle of the street for this view. The street becomes crowded very quickly but you only need to wait 5-7 minutes for fireworks.
