Sure sounds like it. IIRC, there has been speculation for some time that additional family suites would be finished at that site. Guess they feel that finishing it as originally intended, as the other decades of the Pop Century resort, wouldn't have as much appeal as a newly themed resort.

So if this is true, will they have to rename Pop Century as Pop Half-Century?

Yes, this is the former 'Golden Years?' or whatever the unfinished half of POP was called. I guess they finally decided to make some use out of those buildings. The suite type accomodations are getting very popular.

We stayed in one of the family suites at the AllStar Music in Feb 09 and really liked the set up. That will be a big plus for larger families. Still only sleeps 6. My friends with quads (age 5) will still have to get two rooms!
IMHO...They should consider working in some of the PopCentury earlier years into the Pop Century decor - rethink the food court at least....
