DISmoms Round TWO! Don't Axe, Don't Tell!! 4/30-5/4/10 updates 9/17

Of course you'll fit in the group picture!! We had a great time- I just booked a studio for next year at BCV, May 13th-17th.....to become a 1 BDRM not sure where at 7 months (but I wanted to book something to know that I had it to fall back on just in case circumstances change for some of the Moms between now and then).

Dates - check! I think I am having drinks with the soccer moms on Thursday, so we will firm up our dates. I was thinking about waiting until 7 months and then booking 2 studios at OKW. I like the idea of the 2 beds instead of a pull-out couch.

I never do get people that wear heels to theme parks, but then I suppose DTD doesn't count really.

After partying it up with the sailor (like a sailor) we did what any inebriated DISmoms would do on a night of DTD debauchery- we went for tattoos.

Of COURSE you went for tats! You guys are having a blast, and it's only your first full day. Anxiously waiting for more.......

Tren-D is such a great store...I love that every time you go there is always something you missed because there is so much to look at

You're right- there is ALWAYS more to look at in Tren-D- best store they ever opened in DTD!! I love that there is so much unique stuff.

Even in the days when I *could* wear heels, I couldn't wear them!

I know other people took pics- there is more than just that one of him singing, I thought I remembered one with Joan & I being sung to....but maybe I was having an out of body experience and I'm just remembering it that way!

The music was great, think Mozart electrified. And they were all so happy playing, they were really fun to watch.

Those heels of hers make my feet hurt just looking at them!!

I love finding your TR's with a couple of links. Don't know how they slip under my radar a couple of weeks before I find it.

I can't believe you love the slide at Storm a Long Bay. Never in my life, will I ever go on that water slide again.
And I am a water slide/water park junkie.

You girls sure had a good time and it is only the official day 1.
Can't count arrival day because that is like a bonus day.

Ok- I need to know the story- why don't you like the SB slide? I like it because it seems longer and doesn't just loop around....it has the initial drop.

And yes, we were having a good time. That tends to happen when you let women out of their CAGE! At least, THESE women!!

We've been thinking about switching to OKW, too- especially with the refurb that's going on. It would be great to be so close to DTD, and the rooms are HUGE- I've heard. Although Pods & I were in a studio, and it was very big, too. Just curious- why do you do 2 studios instead of a 2 bdrm or 1 bdrm? How many people do you have?

Huh??? What's a Pook-a-looz?? The Tats are at a TAT booth right in front of the huge WOD store.

And I think DTD counts as a theme park where shoes are concerned- it's a LOT of walking in those high stilt heels! (There's another name for those pumps, but it's not DIS friendly!)

I think a 1BR will be too small for 4 of us. IDK. I would love to get a 2BR, because they are the best, but I am trying to keep the point expenditure low on this trip.

Anyway - it would be cool if we all end up at OKW. I gotta keep looking for that perfect contract. I want 100 - 120 points at SSR, March use year, and not stripped.

So we three Jersey girls (ok- Joan's really from Iowa and lonnie now lives in Florida, but still...) were happy to see plenty of empty seats at many bars in RR. AND there was entertainment (we had always missed that in the past, lonnie & i, and Joan was making her first visit).

But of course the REAL reason we were here was Hottie McHotness. Kara and Cammie had met him last year when Lonnie and I had gone back to Sanaa for dinner instead. I just went back to find his photo, but sadly, it's erased. I did, however, just find my most favorite ITSK pic from last year-

Anyway. HMH looks like Josh Duhmel, so, I guess you could say we were looking for HIM-

We started out trying to ask the bartenders where Hottie McHotness was...and they didn't know who we meant! Can you imagine???? But then we said, "We're looking for Josh Duhmel!" and they IMMEDIATELY knew who we were talking about! Well, unfortunately, HMcH was on vacation that week (or hiding in the back in fear, we'll never know which is the truth) so we wouldn't be seeing him at ALL (FWIW, he is one of the managers, just in case YOU would like to go see him sometime to say hello). DAMN! Guess we'll just have to drink away our sorrows with a pint o' Guiness!

And we also decided it might be a good idea to eat a little something....so we ordered a Shephard's Pie to share.

Can I just say, there is a REASON for Pub Food...and Shephard's Pie is IT! Yum, yum, yum, it is the PERFECT thing to eat on a night of DISmom Boozy Debauchery!

Somehow, we managed to rally for a photo- and doesn't Joan look so lovely?

Well, this whole time we had been getting texts from Kara- she had gone back to BCV trying to be a good girl, but once she got there she came to the conclusion she is a BAD girl, and should have stayed out with us! Cammie & Pam were ready for bed, and Kara was just...not! SO we paid our tab (minus the TIW discount again, yay!) and hit it for the BCV bus.

So, we sat in the very back of the bus, we three, because that is clearly where we belonged after this night. There were maybe 10 others on our bus, and they were towards the back, too. And we thought, wouldn't it be nice to send Kara a special message? Soooo.....we decided to send her a video message- of us singing "You are the wind beneath my wings".

Never have you ever seen a group of people stand up and run to the front of the bus so fast in your life!!! GEEZ. I think we SCARED 'EM!!! Actually, i know we scared 'em!! It was HILARIOUS!!!!!! Anyway, I am sorry if we offended anyone, and we promise if you were on the bus we were NOT dangerous....we just wanted Kara to know she is our hero....

Upon our arrival to BCV, we noticed a gentleman rollling a luggage cart into the villas- with I think about 3 or 4 cases of beer on it. We asked if he needed any help, but oddly he said no, that he could handle it....
Even after Lonnie & Joan had explained that they were VERY skilled at balancing cases of beer on their heads, and then drinking said cases, he still turned us down! Can you imagine??? I mean, look at them! They're PROS!

For who knows WHAT reason, I found this side splitting, pants wetting funny (ok- we know why I found it so funny, but really, you need to humor me here...) (and I am not exaggerating that description of how hard I was laughing ) and we were all hysterical by the time we got back to the room at 11:30-

Where the four of us stayed up until 1am having a grand old time. It was such a fantastic night- I just love the DISmoms!!!

In the morning....we're going to BOMA for breakfast!!!!! Then on to AK where I'm going to be a STAR!!!!!!

Yes- it's sad the man has to take a vacation once in a while. Probably spent the whole week in the shower scrubbing off accumulated middle-aged Mom drool.

It would be cool if we were all there- one thing to think about with the studios- I've been reading that the new floors going into the refurbs are a little noisy in the 1 bdrms, and the studios are attached to them. They are putting a sleeper chair in the 1 bdrms so they will now accomodate 5 now, did you know that? Just a thought-

squirting down with you,
the faster you go.
By the time I hit the bottom,
I am shot out of that slide like a cannon.
I hit the water and do a few rolls under the water.
I'm so dizzy, I don't know which way is up.
My nose is full, I'm dizzy, and I'm chocking and sputtering.
Luckily the lifeguard looks away, and pretends it just another
dumb one. (or I hope no one is looking).

ME....have you thought about Kidani....I didn't look at the points for each but the 1 br at Kidani is HUGE...has two full bathrooms and you know how big the master bathroom is!! ...the king size bed, sleeper couch and sleeper chair.

I have had that experience on that slide- I have also had a slower one. It IS very fast!!!!! Probably why i like it!

2 studios at OKW is 120 points for a weekend and 2 nights (I have no idea how long MEK's trip is). A one bedroom at OKW is less, even a one bedroom at Kidani standard view is I think 116? We're thinking about Kidani for next year, too- Lonnie, Kara & I love AKV, Joan would be happy to try it, and I think Pam is ok with it, but Cammie is not a fan. So not sure what we'll do yet- to me there are pluses and minuses to all of the resorts- I have enjoyed them all so far, though!!

OK, so here's what REALLY happened the night of Fultons.....

Whoa!!!! Let me back up a bit.....

First of all, I had the crab and lobster bisque plus about 2 or 3 or 12 loaves of bread with it....

After all, I would need all that bread to sop up my chocolate milk intake for the evening. And even though I called it quits early, I KNEW my gals would be in the mood to pour me a double chocolate milk when they got back!!!

Crazy that bartenders remember us when we return. I mean, you'd think they'd forget all about this....

But seriously, now that I think about it, who could ever forget THIS???

I mean, dang! We are some hot mamas!!!!

I'm sure they are still talking about Ellen picking up strange men.....

Oh, she's truly enamored, eh? That was my Canadian accent there.......

So after our shopping trip, I was about to hit the wall. Not just any wall, THE wall.

So Cammie and Pam decided to head back to BCV with me while Ellen, Lonnie and Joan made sure we would NEVER be forgotten at Fultons! Remember, don't axe cause I won't tell!!!!

But once I got back to the room, and Cammie and Pam got all snuggled up in bed, I opened the fridge. There was my choco milk just begging me to be its friend.

I obliged.

Then I decided to text Ellen.

"Did you ever know that you're my hero?"

Then I texted Lonne.

"You're everything I wish I could be."

Then I texted Joan.

"You are the wind beneath my wings."

None of them knew I had texted the others. Until all their phones beeped at the same time.

It was about that time that they were on the bus heading back.

And I got THE video message of all video messages!!!

Ladies, I can be bought. To keep silent. I'm not above a little blackmail.......

So before long I HEARD them coming down the hallway. Actually, I may have heard them as the bus pulled in but I'm not gonna swear to that.

And the party continued after they got in........ I think I may have even done the limbo, but I'm not gonna swear to that either.....

Regarding the 1 BR at OKW - awesome to hear about the 1 BR's sleeping 5. That is great news. I think OKW is like Vero and I know the 1BR at Vero was really big. It had a big LR and I kept wondering why they don't put a pull out chair in there.

Kidani 1BR is definitely another option. I love Kidani!!!!!
