Oh my...that was one great multiple dismom update! I love that you tricked half the moms into a race that u KNEW you would win. I definitely would have gone for the Epcot monorail option! Although I was getting a tad nervous with the suspense.

And we did NOT throw ANY moms from the monorail!! That race was really fun- I would love to do it again!

Oh do those types of dresses bring back memories! Had a few in my closet.

I really love a good challenge! I would have been so pissed if I had chosen the wrong route. It's so tricky with the bus because there could be one just pulling up when you need it OR you could have just missed it and that adds 20 mins to your travel time. At least with the monorail, you know one's on its way...

I would've chosen the monorail route. Any excuse to walk through Epcot....

I don't think we tricked anyone. But I think Pam felt guilty we were winning and that she should have gone with them. Kara and I were like, "They're Team LOSER!!! We're Team WINNER!!!! Stop being so nice and ENJOY it!!!"

And watching the fireworks from Narcossee's is wonderful, isn't it? When we were there we went out on the deck and watched. Just an amazing experience.

My last name is Porter.
he had an accent, the cute boy on skates.
so it came out kinda funny.
when he called for us to be seated.
maybe he was from boston or sumpin'?
sounded like this..."Porta potty calling the porta potty"

OMG complete silence and then an eruption from the entirely packed waiting room. Sometimes i still call my kids to the dinner table that way!

Yes, the fireworks are coming up- we were out on the deck, too. It was EMH at MK on this night, and we had a BIG DISmeet after dinner in the park...

Thanks!! They were just with my waterproof point & shoot!! I had read somewhere around here that a photo of just the tiles is really cool, so that's why I did that. Although, I think I have done it before, but this time the sun was just right.

Just returned from a quick family trip to Hersheypark...you know that place in Pennsylvania that could use a little Disney Magic (but they DO try!)......and thought I'd share a couple images........

My DD13 overcame many fears and rode all the big coasters....yay Morgan.....like this one.....

That's my DH waving in the last pic.
They even got me on the Great Bear...How? By telling me it was a cross between Soarin' and RRC, that's how!!

It was just about then, during that upside down, corkscrew that I started singing "Dude Looks Like a Lady!!!" Seriously, I thought I was going to die and had my eyes closed the ENTIRE time!

OK, enough of THAT...on with my rebuttal.......

Soooo...everyone was trying to decide how to get to Narcoosees....buses or walk & monorail. I decided I wasn't getting involved, because I knew what I was doing- the same thing we always do, we walk through Epcot & grab the monorail. I just think you could be waiting for just the right bus for a looooong time and that can be very frustrating. At least when you're walking, you KNOW you are getting closer! I ALWAYS would rather walk anyway- I figure the more walking I do on vacation, the more eating & drinking I can do on vacation!! And THAT'S what REALLY matters!!! Of course, my girl Kara piped up and says she thinks it's better to walk through EPCOT and take the monorail (always have faith Kara will have a GREAT idea!!), so I was ALL FOR IT. Unfortunately, what with the hot & sticky "issue" involving wearing a dress, The word here is CHAFING! After the night at DTD in a dress, I wasn't looking forward to further, ahem, "irritation!"well....not everyone was so enthusiastic about making the jaunt through EPCOT. So...after we texted them that Kara & I were taking a cab (and OMG!!! Watching them was HILARIOUS!!!!! We gotta do that more often!!!!) Mean, just plain mean!!!the two in dresses went for the bus...and the three of us ...although Kara was wearing a dress, too....went through Epcot. We stopped for a couple pics, taking it at a regular pace...

Since Kara & I apparently have ALL the DISmom transportation MOJO, You can say that again!!!!the monorail OF COURSE pulled right in for us!!! And....then pulled right in for us AGAIN at the TTC!! But when we got off at GF, we all realized....we have NO idea where the restaurant is!!!! We walk by the photographers, and they ask us if we'd like to take a picture or something, and I say, "WE DON't HAVE TIME for PICTURES!!!! WE'RE in a RACE!!!! Can you tell us how to find Narcoosees, PLEASE????" ANd this CM says "OH! A race!!! Right this way!!!" And he goes FLYING down the stairs....briefly stopping to turn and say, "watch your step!", and then we chase after him to the end of the building, where he points to Narcoosees and wishes us good luck!!! Wasn't there something in the rules about help from outside sources, ie CMs? I must say that our lack of MOJO was carried out completely without assistance from CMs of any sort!

Really, that CM was too funny, he seriously FLEW us through the GF!! So we get to Narcoosees, and a second before we walk through the door, we have a moment of hesitation- oh no! What if Cammie was right? What if the bus was faster? What if they got one right away!!?? Well....

Are you kidding me???? We didn't just get there FIRST, we got there waaaaaaaay early!! Yea, that's right! So we checked in with our friend up front, and explained what was going on....he thought we were pretty funny! So he told us to sit at the bar, and handed us a flasher....and we waited....

That looks mighty tasty! It's a shame they don't serve drinks while you are SITTING ON THE MONORAIL IN THE CONTEMPORARY......WAITING and WAITING....and WAITING!!!!
and we got flashed ....and had to tell our buddy up front that we still didn't have our whole party....and we waited....and he had to give our table away....and we waited...

And we decided to start texting Cammie & Joan...like we still weren't there. And they tell us....

Oh, don't worry, we're at the bar, we'll wait. Okay......


At least, we THINK that's what happened. Oh no it din't!!! We made NO such claim!Kara and I can't remember exactly.... but....we all had a good laugh when those very pretty slowpokes finally DID arrive!!Too much chocolate milk sipping addles the brain!!!! But at least you called us purdy!!!

Seems they had NO mojo getting to GF- slow buses, late buses, no buses, broken monorails....yea right. Sure sure. AND they seemed to really think we took a cab!! AS IF....we would need to. We had the Mojo. No cab necessary!!I'm still not convinced, but at least you admitted you had outside help!!!!

Unfortunately, we still didn't have a table, but that was ok...we waited by the kitchen and drooled over other people's food-

And drooled over the view...

And admired the pretty restaurant...

But it all worked out in the end, because our buddy at the door gave us a PRIMO table right next to the window looking towards MK!! YEA baby!!!

Yeah! Another update. I am glad I missed a few days of this trippie so I did not have to wait for the answer as to which group was the fastest. I also agree that I would prefer to walk and take a monorail anyday. Actually when we were there in December we were leaving DHS and going over to MK. We were in line to go to the TTC when a bus pulled up for the Poly, GF, & Contemporary. I looked at DH and said we are so on that bus. It stopped at the Conemporary first and we walked to MK. So much faster than the bus and monorail route. Obviously I don't have the transportation mojo of Ellen as it took me years to figure that shortcut out. Anyway, I digress, looking forward to your dining and drink reviews and other evening entertainment. Please post again soon,

No, it goes straight up (you are almost lying on your back on the way up) and over the "hill" at the top and then plummets straight down, inverts a little, followed by five or six corkscrew loops.....crazy!!!!! There is a reason I didn't ride THAT one!
