-DISigners Challenge--U NEED 2 CHECK it OUT--New Challenge up 12/02/08

I think everyone here does a fantastic job creating beautiful designs. I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's creative take on the same image.

So here are my thoughts lol...

• Even if you've used this image previously, create something new, challenge yourself. Maybe try a completely different style than you've ever tried.
• If you've never designed before, try something. It doesn't have to be perfect, just for fun!
• Do more than one design if you want, do 10. Do however many you wish. Keep checking back, you may look at a design posted by someone else and get a creative idea from their design and want to try another design of your own.

I'm really excited to see what everyone comes up with. Thanks to all who take part! Let's inspire each other.

You don't have to use the image as is, you can play with cropping, colors or use selections from the photo and incorporate them back in, in a different way.

Hello everyone, I am new to the DISboards, having just stumbled upon it earlier in the week, but I think I've found my new home away from home! I am a little obsessed with creating shirts for my little one's for our trips to disney (and all of our friends and family as well!)

Anyway - here is my take on the challange posted above (let's just hope I can figure out how to post the photo here)

We just came back from a visit last week, here is a photo of my girls in my favorite one from this trip, it was our first day and we were in the waiting area for the Voyage of the little mermaid

they got oodles of compliments in them...they are actually much cuter in person than they look in the photo, the peaks of of the crown and dot of the "i" in "princess" have swavorski crystals hot fixed, and I also painted some glitter on the minnie head and names....lots of sparkle! The BEST part is when the princesses greeted my girls, they knew their names without having to ask! so magical

Well, I hope the photos will show up, and I look forward to chatting more!

I'm new. You can call me Mae. I seem to have a different picture than those already posted.

The thing I designed isn't for a specific purpose. I was just bored tonight and figured...why not!

This thread is a great idea! I notice a new image to work with already and you have already had a challenge posted! The first weeks challenge is aweosme by all- I just got it cleaned up and will eventually get it in a design- LOL Now I have the Pooh image as well- Wonder if I can get this one worked out! LOL Until then MaeB, your contribution is very nice! & you posted well- Hope to see more of your work as well-
Okay, I will be watching to see all the cool ideas! I really like this thread- It just fits nice on a design board

Well, This will look real silly now next to Natalie's- LOL But I wanted to just show what techniques I am learning- Soon enough I will learn how to put them together, I am still figuring what is available for me to use at which time and how my image has to be in my program- Gets confusing to have to keep changing (converting) and which screen I am working from to which frame- LOL
I edited on one but it did it to the other, etc- This was fun and I will get one from this soon- LOL

Oh! For Chaos & Disneywhirl- I kept trying to make the frame fit my image and it just wouldn't do it- I mean I would change and the one side would get fat and the other would get thin, etc- What should I have done there?

Oops! Way Big- What should I do?- LOL

That looks terrific! I really like the overlay...... it adds a nice touch. Your best best with the frame probably would have been to extend your background so the frame wouldn't need to be resized/reshaped.
