Dish Drainer

This is a totally strange gift idea, but my BF NEEDS a dish drainer. He's the kind of guy that has the money to buy whatever he wants or needs so gift giving is very tricky. We are both at that point in our lives that we don't need stuff and we buy each other practical things that we need.

I have an el-cheapo drainer my mom bought me 13 years ago when I got my first apartment that works fine for me since I mostly use my dishwasher. I guess I'd like to get something a little nicer or fancier. One that would fit in a standard sink would be really nice as counter space is minimal. My question is has anyone ever bought one of those really expesive drainers and found it worth the price? I mean i've seen ones that are anywhere from $40-$100 even on up! Is ther a specific drainer you really like?

ya know, sometimes it's the stupid little things that are the most appreciated.

when my daddy was alive (passed this last sept) we had thanksgiving at his house every year. tons of people.. MOUNDS of mashed potatos. and he always had the WORST potato peelers. I gave him one from Pampered Chef... then bought one for myself! the best!!!

I have a Kitchen Aid dish rack (we also have a dishwasher but have a lot of hand washables) and it's been great for 6 years. I have the kind that sits next to the sink, it gets daily use, and it's good as new. DH had a cheap-o one when we got married; I gave that to my college-age niece, and bought this one at Lowe's. It wasn't super expensive. If Kitchen Aid makes one for over the sink to fit your BF's needs, I would highly recommend it.

We have the larger Rubbermaid dish draining rack and tray, but they make a smaller size. They should last for many years.
