Hi Friends!!!!!

My birthday is SO soon! July 28th and I'll be 26!!!!

And I really don't mind about people posting on my thread... I think it really suckos that none of my photos will show up now for another week, but if people feel like they're "at home" on my thread, then great... But you know what I LOVE... The fact that DM and SM are like my "big sisters" sticking up for me... I think that's the sweetest thing ever!!!! I'm so happy that yall are there to look after me =)

Love yall!

Awww.... I FEEL like a "Big Sister"! :grouphug: You just let me know if anybody bullies you, and I'll come get them... (all 4 foot 9 of me.... watch out - small but mighty!! Like granny always said, "Good things come in small packages - like DIAMONDS & DYNAMITE!!!!") :cool1:

Ah, these parents. My parents are the same way. My sister, ya know, the one who has moved in with me, and I are just about ready to give up on asking my parents for help with anything. Its always one excuse after another. Of course a part of me understands that my baby sister has Down's and is a handful and the next youngest is just a mess (bad boyfriend, 3 yr old son, baby on the way, poor, etc). But geez, ya think having a terminally ill child (us) and having to move in with family (my sister) would be enough for at least a little bit of help. Noooo! :sad2: Grrr! Sorry. Little bitter. I feel better now. :rotfl2:
It's definitely good to vent to people, especially people like us! We're here for you but not in your face at home to judge you like that.

As I posted on your TR, I'm glad that the surgery is hopeful for Michael now. I'm sure you will keep us posted on it!!

Okay, it's just about 11 pm and I better close this down now. This laptop makes a bad habit even worse....

Good night!

To get that camera it's going to cost me about 300 with tax and everything. Good deal or not? I've got memory cards or I can keep looking around and find something compact. Nothing is officially decided but that's one of the ones I'm looking at.

Have you tried Delldirect.com? That's where I got my Kodak EasyShare and it was much cheaper than the big retailers. BTW I love my EasyShare!!

Love the pics Renee!!!!

And LizA--- I've never been to Orange Beach, but I have a TON of friends who go!!!!! They're probably some of the LSU people you're talking about!

You should go sometime...it is beautiful! Well, when we are down there in a few days I will ask any LSU people that we see if they know you!! :rotfl:

Well, it sounds like I am definitely the youngest of the group...my birthday is February 29th...Paul and most of our friends will be turning 40 next year but I like to remind them that I will only be 10!!  Hey, at least I get a birthday next year...yay!!!

Sonya - I didn't even get it at first with you saying that you were 10 years old. Then I did a double take of your birthday. Leap Year. That must have been hard as a kid, or even adult sometimes, as we all want to feel special on our birthday days and you couldn't always do that. You poor kid....10 year old kid I mean! :cutie:

I hope she is ok now. I would be mad as well if nobody called me about my child.

Bob's late father had that birthday - (he passed away before I met Bob) - and apparently they made a big deal about it every four years !

Trivia from the librarian (I may have "retired", but I still haven't "purged the brain" yet!) Author/poet Robert Louis Stevenson's birthday was Feb 29 ! :goodvibes

I hope she is ok now. I would be mad as well if nobody called me about my child.
Hope she is doing better...

WendyGrace: Keep your chin up - Parents can be SO frustrating! Keep us posted about Michael's surgery - you all are in our prayers.

Gosh, we sure have some old people on our board, dont we??:lmao: :rotfl:

The Kodka cameras are always worth their prices, Mandy. My Aunt has one that the one you are looking at but it is a 10 not a 7.1. Haley used (the Aunt's) it last year and took a picture of a mother horse and her colt. And Haley won 2nd place at the county fair. Since than she has gotten a digital of her own to use. And it is a 7, Polariod. Not as good. I have that Canon A540, love it.

I have a Kodak right now and it's great but it's doing the five second pause after every picture. I'm leaning towards that one and I'll probably buy it before the week is out.

It's actually kind of fun having my birthday!! I say that on years that I don't have a birthday that I need to celebrate for 2 days...2/28 since I was born in Feb and then on March 1st because I'm actually my new age. At work they always put my birthday on the day after the 28th and put my name and some kind of witty comment like if there was a 2/29 Sonya would be celebrating...or something like that.

Paul's birthday is March 1st so he's as happy as I am when I have a "real" birthday. Another interesting fact...we were born in the same hospital and I am just a few hours older than him!

That is interesting...I didn't know that about Robert Louis Stevenson. Also Bob's dad...there aren't many people that have my birthday.

DM invited me to come on over, and just jump in. I've really enjoyed reading all your trip reports, and fun adventures. I enjoy your craziness, but most of all I like the way you support each other. Y'all really care, and it shows in all your posts.

I noticed y'all were talking birthday and age on the last couple pages. I will be 49 on 8/19. Guess that puts me up there in this group, but I know you welcome all ages.

We are going to be at OKW 8/5-8/13, and will be celebrating our 12th anniversay on 8/12. This will be our first trip as a family, although DS10 and I went in 3/04. That wasn't the best trip:rolleyes1

Just wanted to say Hi, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better.

Welcome Lisa! I'm glad you came over. We really are fun over here. We haven't been posting as much lately as we have been working on our TRs but we will get back in the swing of things I'm sure. Now remember...you must contribute regularly to be considered a regular!

Oh shoot...I just noticed that you're going to be 49. Sorry, the cut off is 48. :lmao: Kidding.
