Geez... impatient, ladies?!!!
I am back, just got home from Des Moines. We had soooooo much fun!
Our Party for the Cure started at 4:00 and we have a bout 50 fans come through. We only raised about $150, but that is $150 more than the foundation had before. We made a giant sign out of 12 sheets of scrapbook paper that we smuggled in and taped together once inside that said "TONIGHT WE RAISED $$$ FOR REMEMBERBETTY.ORG". We held it up at the end of Step By Step and Danny saw it and thanked us repeatedly. We got points and smiles from everyone. Danny kept come back to us and pointing and blowing kisses. My friend Jill who is a Dany fan was on
!
Sadie went by herself to go backstage with the other radio winners. I felt really bad for her because instead of enjoying the experience, she felt bad about leaving me behind. This is why she is my best friend! She has the worlds biggest heart! She did enjoy herself once she got there. They went in groups of 4 and had about 2 minutes and a photo. Similar to ILAA.
There were 7 of us that got tickets together. 9 of us total in our group. we had a BLAST!!! It was so fun to be with so many friends! Of the 7 of us together in the 4th row, 3 of them had not been to a NKOTB concert in almost 20 years. LOVED seeing the reactions when they come on stage! They "get it" now that they have been to the show!!!
In Iowa you are an Iowa State fan or an Iowa Hawkeyes fan. You are one or the other, never both, and you hate the other team. It is a HUGE rivalry. I went to school at Iowa State. Donnie wore an Iowa hat and shirt for Cover Girl. It nearly made me throw up to see that beautiful man in Hawkeye gear! And he kept talking about Big 10 country. Blah! You are only 45 minutes away from Ames and the ISU campus in DSM. I made sure to facebook him and Tweet him that he was in Big 12 country!
Click3 pose off was great. They did it 4 times. On the last try they spelled out Iowa. It was great! B stage was psychotic. I pushed my way through the crowd to get back to my seat so that i did not have to be in the middle of it. It was that nutso! I really hope that they don't do the B stage for the summer tour. I am shocked that no one got hurt!
Last time the boys were in Iowa, Donnie jumped off the stage onto a group of girls, causing a stampede and TONS of injuries. Show ended early and I remember girls leaving on stretchers. He didn't do it this time!!! Dang it! I would have caught him this time!
I will post more details and pics later. I am soooo tired. My 34 year old body is having trouble keeping up with my 14 year old activities!!!
