DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous, part 3... still goin' strong!

Hi girls! It's been forever since I've been on the Dis. Glad to see our thread on the front page. I'm chiming in on the NKOTBSB AMA performance. Ughh! I do not like Hangin Tough being meshed with the other song. I am really hoping the concert isn't one big mash up of the songs. I will say "our boys" are so much cuter that BSB.

Not sure which concert I will attend. San Jose is only an hour away so it will probably be that one but my BF and fellow NKOTB crazy is in Houston. So I may just go to both or make a girl's trip to Vegas. Decisions, decisions!

As for Time, CNN and MTV - were we watching the same show!??!!??! I agree that the crowd definitely responded to them, as did I. Heck, we ALL know the songs and can sing along. (even if you don't like the songs you still KNOW them!) BUT, they did NOT sound good in my opinion and I'm a HUGE fan. I thought NKOTB sounded way better than BSB, but Donnie did NOT sound good at all. (sadly) I have no interest in them sharing the stage with BSB because frankly, they're not equals in my eyes! They recorded a song together?? Again, super huge NKOTB fan - not interested.

I think the NKOTBSB song was, how shall I say this....BS!

I don't get it. Why does everyone seem to absolutely LOVE it? Maybe it's just me but I think it's way overhyped.

I meant to respond to your post but forgot...I agree with you!! I'm glad people were excited and cheered for them when the said they were coming up but I think it didn't live up to expectations!

Jordan has one coming out sometime soon. He said on twitter today that he was in a photo shoot for the "Deluxe Package". I may have read it as a photo shoot OF the deluxe package.

Hmm what to say about the performance. I agree with the others that our 5 sounded way better. I think Jordan absolutely nailed it. I'm just not sure about it all. I have no history with BSB so seeing them on stage just does nothing for me. I don't know their names. I don't know their songs. There is no excitement and no interest. It's hard for me to get into taking 2 bands, one you love, one you don't and meshing them.

I'm still not going to say that I'd miss the tour completely. But I do have to wait to see the logistics of it. (How much is done together especially.)

I think tickets for the tour will be a last minute thing for me. I'm going to wait and see how people like it and see if I can find some youtube videos of the shows before the one at IZOD and then decide if I want to go.

So I responded to this thread way back on the first page, but forgot to subscribe. So every time I went to my subscriptions page I never saw any notification of new posts. I'm such a ditz sometimes.

Anyways, as far as the AMA's, I have to agree, almost every performer sounded AWFUL. I will say I thought Enrique was ok, and Kid Rock and Pink were great. And as much as I don't care for BSB, I actually kind of enjoyed the joint performance with NKOTB. I did not enjoy it enough to decide to get tickets, though.

Today is my last day in the office for the week, so I doubt I'll get back on before Thanksgiving. So with that said, I hope everyone has an amazing holiday with their families.
