In the Last Pirates of the Caribbean movie: If you stay for the credits you see another part of the movie. Will Turner, who is now captain of the Flying Duchman, is returning home. On a hillside, watching his ship come in, are his wife and a young boy, presumeably his son. This boy looks like the same boy that was about to me hung at the beginning of the movie.

Here is my take on this: The hanging at the beginning is the future not the present. The boy is Will Turner's son, his singing is him calling to his father to help them. When the soildier comes up to the Bad English Lord and says "They have started to sing" the English Lord answers "Finally". So they were using the captured boy to lure Will Turner to them.

They were setting up the ending for the next movie.

So what do you guys think? Do I have it right or did someone see something else?

I haven't seen it yet

But Cathy told me she thought it was open for more movies to come and that Johnny was 'not done with Jack' and someone else possibly the producer? name started with a B like brimheiner or something, i'm so on top of it LOL. Whoever this other person was also mentioned that they weren't done.

I thought that was odd. I thought when the 2nd movie was released that it was set to end with the 3rd. But I admit i'm not on top of the Pirates series as much as Cathy who is a big Captain Jack fan.

So what's the scoop? If they are doing more when are the projected dates/years for the releases and have they begun filming?

hmmmmm, interesting take. Never thought of it that way until you brought it up. Like I"ve mentioned before, they could keep on making POTC movies and I would see all of them--however, my obsession has more to do with the eye candy than the actual movie!:rotfl:

I think the 2 boys were different. I really need to see it again but I will have to wait till it comes out on DVD. $41 for me and DH to see it once was enough for me!! We went to the theater that has comfy chairs and beers!!

They are 2 different boys. Dominic Scott Kay plays Young Will and Brendyn Bell plays the young singing pirate.

That's just to throw you off the scent. The boy at the beginning has to be older. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Totally off topic....but I have to jump in here to tell you about the guy that runs the website that Leana linked to above.

He used to come into the Disney Store where I worked and try to steal "secret" info. We found him one day behind the registers, on the floor, looking at the stage sets for the new items arriving! :confused3
(yeah, really top secret stuff  )

I once had the "pleasure" of rining him up. He gave me such a hard time about getting a discount. This was back in the day of the MKC card or something. He didn't have his card with him, and how could I expect him to drive 5 zillion hours home to get the card? Of course, I should have known he was a member, right? ;-)

Ok, vent over - back to the subject at hand.... ;)

That was Big Vic, he is our official "YARC" scape goat, so go ahead and blame him. Yep it's his fault.
