Discretionary time at Disney

Sort of in the middle. On our park days, we hit the park hard. We milk our money's worth from those days. I planned other days for pool, resort and disney springs.

in the early days an A now a B fast moving to C.

C: Little or no park time but plenty of other Disney activities.

I started out as an A in my late teens and as I got older aka the last few years, I've turned into a B. I'm turning 30 next year!!

A mostly, but dining is an important part of my trip. I'm not a big resort person, not a pool person, and I don't go to WDW to lounge around. :hyper: No "non-park" days for me! Let me at 'em!

I'm mostly an A. If I want a relaxing resort/pool vacation I can think of hundreds of other places with better amenities and food at similar prices. We go to WDW for the parks.

But, over the years we've come to realize that if we want to last through a 10-12day stay we need to have adequate rest. So we plan afternoon breaks, and even 1-2 non park days. But not because the resort is all that fabulous. Similarly, we book TS meals so that we can eat the food that we want in a more relaxed atmosphere. We don't expect or even look for fine dining in WDW.

I guess we're mostly b. We rope drop but leave the park once I get too hot and irritated. I hate wasting my time in restaurants though , bring on the pool

Definitely A, in that we go and spend time at the park every day and we are there for RD. But we do take breaks and we certainly enjoy our meals. We have to be moving though, I'd be bored trying to sit on a beach longer than a few hours.

Commando Disney! Open and close the park. If you can't hack it then go back to the hotel.

A mix of the two. We usually go when the parks have extended hours. We are rope droppers. I can't open the park and stay til closing without a rest, so we take a mid afternoon break on park days. This still gives us 8 to 10 hours a day in the parks. I also plan at least one rest day during a week long trip. Without the rest, my whole family gets too cranky! On our non park day we usually do a TS meal plus the water parks or DTD.

I'm more of an A. I'm definitely a "bang for my buck" vacationer. When I'm on a theme park vacation, I want to spend time at a theme park. When I'm on a beach vacation, I want to be on the beach. We do make sure to get pool time nearly every day if the weather permits. But I'm not paying Disney money to hang around a resort, that's for sure.

A. No doubt.

IMO, the food and resorts at WDW are just ok when compared to other places so we focus on park time and really only use the resorts and ADRS to rest up for the next round.

Both A and B. I love doing open to close but I'll stop for a good meal during the day and a bit of rest and always plan a pool and resort hoping day.
