Discovery Cove swim with the dolphins...is it worth it?

We are going to be in orlando in a couple weeks and I was wondering if the swim with the dolphin is worth the money at Discovery cove. i know I am going to let my daughter do it but I was wondering if i should spend the extra $100+ for an extremely short amount of time swimming with a dolphin...also does anyone know of the radio promotional discount offered for DC or any other disocunts to DC?

Is it worth it as long as u can afford it yes it is I upgraded recently and am glad I did as my daughter loved the exp and I am glad I got to share it with her and rest of family

Absolutely...I recommend everyone do it at least once. It is an experience you won't forget!

I am visiting DC on 4th july.
my friend has been and told me it will be the most memorable thing you will ever do in your life.
I know its expensive ,but its got to be everyones aim to do it at least once.
Here in England it was voted number 1 thing to do before you die.
Not sure i will enjoy the 5th july then !!!!!!!!!!!

The dolphin swim is awesome, but if you want to save money and still touch a dolphin, you can.

In my family of 3, I was the only one to do the swim. The dolphin trainer noticed me waving to my little girl who was up on the beach. She asked if I'd like a family photo with Larry, 'my dolphin', and I said yes. So my DH and DD4 got to come out and pet Larry and have their pic taken with him. Of course, THAT'S the photo we bought. I guess they knew that and that's why they offered the 'family photo'.

DD4 also got to feed Larry.
