Our countdown has started, only 41 days til we are out of here for our DC/SW and Aquatica vacation. Warm thoughts!:cool1:

Thanks Gina, and if it is any consolation, I felt the same way reading your trip report, and Christmas. It has inspired me to do the vacation over Xmas for sure!

Aw, thanks!!! :goodvibes

Just booked our summer getaway this morning (yes, I know, we originally said no Florida this year after 3 trips in 2012, that we'd do something different instead....but it has drawn us back again!). I love having a ticker back in my signature!!

I saw that. 6 years ago I convinced my hubby to take our girls to Florida for a once in a lifetime trip. This is the 6th year in a row we have went now! I had been a traveller with my parents growing up my hubby had never been anywhere besides Ont. His family couldn't afford to travel and just never did. I convinced him to go and we weren't there for 24 hours when the words out of his mouth "we are coming back here next year!" Sweeter words have never been spoken. We have been doing bigger summer trips, last summer Wisconsin Dells summer before Chicago. So for now Florida is once a year. Plus we live on a beautiful Island so the summers are glorious here. We started out on a week to FL now we r 14 days. The first week it is just us. The 2nd week half of my teacher daycare families are joining us. Enjoy planning your next trip.

We are going on our first dc/seaworld/aquatica in April. We usually go to disney but my husband wouldn't, so I talked him into seaworld parks. We have been to seaworld before but never aquatica and dc. We are staying at the renaissance across the street from seaworld for 3 nights and 6 nights at an embassy suites. We are super excited. I even made an Ohana and Chef Mickey's reservation to get my disney fix. :thumbsup2

We are on our countdown too!!! 45 days....This is our first SW/DC/Aquatica trip and we are also adding a day at Legoland. I LOVE Disney, but I know I will have a blast on this trip too. DH isn't a Disney lover so since we have done Disney the last two trips(2010, 2012) we are doing something different. It is kinda last minute because I just booked our airfare and I plan to book our hotel tonight:) I can't wait for warm(er) weather!!

Most people find this funny, but my girls from the first time we went. They were 6 and a day short of being 8, she turned eight on our drive home. Picked Seaworld as their park of choice from day one. We have went there every year, and have done one Disney park every year. Not this year. We have even planned on not buying SW tickets one year and ended up buying AP's instead and went last minute. They said they don't feel like they have been to Florida until they go to SW. We are also doing Busch Gardens this year, we did it one day last year, but my kids really enjoyed it and want to go back. My girls were never typical girls and into princesses and stuff, they have always been into shows, sealife and animals. So I guess that is why!!! Can't wait to get out of the cold!

greenclan- I think my boys(ages 8 and 10) will love Seaworld. I am just hoping that since Disney is all they know down there that they aren't disappointed that we are skipping it this time around. The love Legos so I am hoping Legoland will be a big hit too!

We have 43 days until Disney, and 50 days until SW/DC/Aquatica! We did DC last year thinking it would be a once in a lifetime thing, and now we're going back for 2 days this year :rotfl2: The second day, without a Dolphin encounter and because we won't need passes for SW & Aquatica again is not too expensive.

Can you explain about cheaper tickets for second day? Meaning, without access for sw&aq? Do you call to have a different rate?

Yes, the second ticket doesn't include SW or Aquatica passes, so it is not as expensive. I called to order both tickets. The second day was $129/each, where the first day was $289 (but that includes a dolphin encounter).
