Hello everyone! I am surprising my family with a visit to Discovery Cove during our week long stay at Disney and I can't seem to find much info about the private cabanas. So... can someone answer these questions:

1. What is in the cabana other than seating? Fridge? Drinks?

2. How much is it?

3. Are they all around the dolphin area?

4. Are there loungers outside for sunbathing or is it all shaded?

5. Do they still offer the Golden Ring package? How much is it and what's included?

6. Are there any other packages that include the cabana?

TIA! :goodvibes

Hi,

I don't have my info handy but wanted to give you some of the answers you needed. Hope this helps...

The cabanas include several lounge chairs plus a table and fully stocked fridge. A basket of snacks (chips, cookies, etc.) is also on the table.

Our lounge chairs got some sun but most of the area was cool and shaded.

I don't recall how much it was, since we got ours as part of a birthday package. I didn't hear any mention of a Golden Ring package when I was doing my research.

I can tell you that the staff on the phone was VERY friendly each time I called them with questions. They were so helpful and patient that I even described them as "Disney-like" to my family. :lmao:

Hope some of this is useful......and have fun!

I would also like to know about this......we went to Discovery Cove this year and whilst we loved it we could not find 2 loungers together anywhere!! It was so busy! so we are considering splashing out on a cabana next time if it's not too expensive!

I have a couple of more questions if someone can help me.

I will have a group of 6-8 in Sept. I love Sea World the most and since they are trusting me it is my decision on what we do, but I need to keep the cost as low as feasibly possible and to be honest, I have never had to do that before so I could use some help please.

If I pay for the Cabana at $175, will all of us be able to enjoy it? Does anyone have any pictures? What comes in the refridgerator. I know it says stocked, but stocked with what? Are there any snacks?

The day I am looking at it states $129. That would include the parking and our meals in the park, Plus 14 days at Sea World. Then I would need to pay the cabana fee. Is that correct?

If I purchase the package without the dolphin swim, but with the 14 day sea world ticket, can we visit sea world before the day of our discovery cove visit?

Thank you so much for helping me. The young people I am helping take their first vacation ever thank you also.

Yes. You need to pay the cabana fee on top of that. I believe it states people in the cabana though? :confused3

You will get your tickets when you purchase the day at DC. If you have a printer you can actually print them right then. Once you pay you will get emails with all of that in it.

The fridge will be stocked with sodas and water and the snacks will be chips and such. There are snack bars set up all over DC that have all of these things available to you whenever you want them but they stock them in the fridge for you so you don't have to go get them. :thumbsup2

Thanks for helping me out.

By digging thru their web site, which I think is very poorly done, and clicking everything, I basically found the answers myself except what comes stocked in the fridge, but now I know that too. :yay:

I will answer for the other people who might be needing the info too.

The cabana will hold up to 8 people.

The cabana charge is on top of the entrance fee for each person, but only one cabana fee. So if 8 of us buy the $129 dollar package, the cabana will only be $175 on top of that.

Yes, you can start using the 14 day tickets before your DC day. Your DC date just has to fall within that 14 day window.

Now I just need to figure out how this will affect me if I have an Premium annual [pass.

An annual Pass to Disney or Sea World? :confused3 If you have an annual pass to SW then you get a better deal on DC but you can only get it for up to 4 people. The Dolphin swim is $169 and the regular one is $69.

If you are talking to Disney it won't do anything for you.

I will have a AP to SW.

By making a few phone calls, yes I will be able to get a $69 rate. That rate does not include the 14 days at Sea World, but that will still be a better rate for me and the others can just buy their tickets,

I also found out my AP will also give me a 10% discount on the all day meal deal which we were going to do anyway.

I am not going to worry if it the all day meal deal will be a good deal or not. It will be a fixed cost and they can eat and drink what they like without worring if they are staying in budget.

I want to again thank everyone for their help.

Judy

Can anyone tell me where abouts the cabanas are located? We would like somewhere to get some shade but also where we can sunbathe...........
Thanks

All day meal where?

Here is our expereince with the Cabana just a few weeks ago. LOVE IT!

I did the prem package since I was informed when calling in that you can only book one 2 weeks in advance unless you get one of the prem packages. Sold, that package was well worth the extra amount just for the poster I got of DD getting her bouy from the dolphin.

Once we go checked in they escorted us to the cabana and we had a great veiw of the dolphin pool. We had 8 ppl in our party, including a 20mo old, and there was plenty of room to move around. There was 2 lounge chairs in the front and 2 overlooking the dolphin pool in the back. In the middle was the covered area with a table and chairs plus the cooler with bottle water and drinks. Our attendant offered to bring adult beverages too, but we did not need those that day :)

The things I really like about it was the privacy and the general enclosure. It is not fully enclosed so a small child could escape but the front area was so DD 20 mo was able to play in the sand and I did not worry about her taking off. Also, it was HOT and the sand outside the cabana was extermly painful to walk on. The sand inside our cabana was nice and kids built sand castles, etc as well.

To me it was well worth the money and when we head back I would love to bring DH with me and just have the cabana there for some quiet time :)

Thanks for this! You have sold me! My one question though... it is ALL shaded or is there an area to be in the sun? Like for sunbathing?

You can sunbath, the 2 chairs in the back are nice to watch the dolphins from and the 2 in the front you can get some good sun The shade is mostly for the round table but the tree growth kept the sandy area by the gate shaded and so the kids could play.
