Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

Because today we're in the 30's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so close I can TASTE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Awesome! How many more days of school? We are at 3 1/2 with students, 6 1/2 total. I am so ready!!!

Leslie, congrats on Laurens preschool graduation, and I really do understand how hard it can be when you realize how fast your babies are growing up. Just yesterday,I spent the day attending my oldest daughters graduation from college! I just kept watching her and thinking to myself, "didn't we just take her for her first day of kindergarten a couple of weeks ago?" :confused3
She is beginning to grasp herself how fast time flies by us too, because she became a bit sad as we wondered around the campus taking pictures of her in her favorite locations. She talked about how it didn"t seem like 4 years ago that she was just a freshman ,and we were moving her in there ,and now she was graduating already. The she tells me she didn't feel ready yet to be an adult. I thought to myself, "I don't feel ready for you to be an adult yet either."

The good thing about it all is that you are aware of how fast this time goes, and you are making the most of it for them and for yourself. It sometimes still makes me feel a bit sad to think that my babies aren't babies anymore, but I have also come to realize that each new stage of life they enter is still precious to me,whether it is my 16 year old or my 21 year old.I am realizing that I will always enjoy their life no matter how old they grow.
I know you will too.:goodvibes

Hi guys. I know I should be busy on Disney stuff but until school stops (June 3rd) I'm just trying to get by. So busy at work with meetings, University of Phoenix is busy and Tim is SO busy DJing every weekend (not that I'm complaining). Tonight he had a wedding reception down in Kentucky and an after prom to DJ, I won't see him until 4:30 a.m. busy busy busy.
He uploaded some of the video from Lauren's graduation so I wanted to share that with you. The kids and I went to the butterfly show at Krohn Conservatory today and it was INCREDIBLE. I took a ton of pics and will get those uploaded tomorrow (I'm tired):cloud9:
Here is some of the video from Lauren's graduation. I love this song, Luke used to sing it to, it's called "Thank you Lord for making me" the conversion to photobucket made it a bit blury but I hope you like it. Lauren is known for stealing the show up there, she LOVES a stage:

This one choked me up a bit:

I love her singing this one:

Well, I could post about 5 more but I won't do that to ya : ) I hope you enjoyed these. I'm off to watch 48 hours mystery (my favorite) and hit the sack! Have a great Sunday guys.
Lesley

The videos were great Lauren is a little star. On the second video I found myself singing along, I love that song, and the kids added a wonderful innocence to the song. I can see why it choked you up.

I love the videos!! Boy she is a natural up there. I think I see singing & acting in her future!! Those memories are just precious. I remember when my oldest DS graduated from kindergarten(he is 20 now) & they sang Chim Chim Cherie from Mary Poppins & I can still see him in the little hat & shirt he had on. You never forget those things!! Enjoy every minute. Have a great Sunday also.

Lauren was too cute! Good thing she was on the end, it gave her plenty of space to show her stuff!:goodvibes

Ahhh, Lauren is so cute!

I know what you mean about just trying to get by until school is out. That's the way I feel right now -- all my attention seems to be focused on all the end-of-the-year stuff until Friday when we are finished! Then I can really get organized for the trip!

Oh Lesley, TOO CUTE! She really is such a ham! I love how she kept moving her face to flip her curls out of the way and how she enunciated (sp?) every word! Precious memories for sure! Tell her we said GREAT JOB!!:goodvibes

Your daughter is such a cutie! What a great feeling it must have been for you and Tim and of course Lauren! The kids are so proud of themselves and their accomplishments too, you can tell! :goodvibes

School is almost out for you as well, and Disney right around the corner! Yay for the 30s!!! :thumbsup2

Okay, um wait. Haven't all of you ladies already been "really getting organized for the trip" ????

For those of us who are clearly novices -- that statement is a little scary...
Has the commando planning not yet been revealed?!! :upsidedow

What is next?!?!? What am I missing???!!!

I got my note pad -- I am ready to see! :magnify:

You are too funny, but yes, in my commando style which isn't really commando this trip but ALWAYS organized there is still lots to be done:
1). type out itinerary
2). Figure out how to put itinerary and ressie's into iPhone application
3). Budget/tipping envelopes/snack and souvie money, meal money when not on deluxe dining, etc. haven't even attempted this yet.
4). The ULTIMATE packing list- and then buying items not on the list
5). Figure out pet care for our cat when we are away
6). Stop mail and do bills - we'll be gone for 2 1/2 weeks, excited and nervous to get it all done before we go.
7). Ship water to the resort (via Costco again probably).
I'm sure there is much more but that's what's been eating at me that I need to get done soon, I'll be adding to it and you can watch me get these done as we get closer:woohoo:
Lesley

Lauren is a true star. She was born to be on the stage, a true natural.

I can't wait to read you trip report with such wonderful subjects. This is my first time to catch one of your reports.

I took a look at your list and it made me nervous. I'm going to take my list and start setting deadlines to get them done. It's written down but no getting done.

Lesley how do you budget your spending money I always feel I spend way to much, I am going for 10 days and I am on the Qdp how much money would you say I would need for spending other than food?

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. I am happy you have found us and will be enjoying a journey through our eyes. Don't let me make you nervous. I will share my packing list once it gets done.

Well, for the counterservice dining plan you get two counterservice meals per day right? What I would do with that (just me) is use two credits for breakfast and split two of the adult breakfasts and use two credits at lunch and split those and then use four for dinner, just an idea. If you don't want to do that then I would buy breakfast out of pocket and budget 20.00 for that, then I budget 15.00 per day for snacks above and beyond snack credits. For souvenier money, we'll do 150.00 for Tim, 150.00 for me and 75.00 for each kid, remember though, we are there for 2 1/2 weeks so I'm budgeting more for that.
I will post my budget when I get it done : )

I’m so bummed, just had a long update typed up and LOST IT, stupid server kicked me off, AUGH!! Oh well, here I go again.

The kids and I headed to the Krohn Conservatory Butterfly show on Saturday, it was great. The kids were so excited to hold butterflies.
Here is the entrance:
Butterflyshow010.jpg

They instruct you on how to properly pick up the butterflies and then we were in. Luke found one to scoop up right away:

Butterflyshow012.jpg

They had so much fun walking around, looking at the butterflies and picking them up, enjoying them and then passing them to one another:
Butterflyshow003.jpg

Here is Lauren with a pretty one:
Butterflyshow015.jpg

This picture of Luke CRACKS ME UP, can you tell he was just a LITTLE into it : )
Butterflyshow023.jpg

Luke found a monarch and was enjoying holding him and then he passed it onto Lauren, when he did it flew and landed on a guys head next to us. He bent down for Lauren to get it off of his head, she did and then the butterfly flew quickly right back to him and landed on his nose, it was hilarious. Everyone was laughing and taking pictures of him:
Butterflyshow018.jpg

Here is my favorite picture of the day:
Butterflyshow021.jpg

We hung out in the butterfly area for a little over an hour and then we headed to the “backstage” part of it where they had tons and tons of cocoons and caterpillars in aquariums. Here is Lauren checking out an aquarium of hatching cocoons, I love her expression :
Butterflyshow029.jpg

They had a craft station too and Lauren made a butterfly mask. Then we explored the rest of the conservatory, I just love Krohn conservatory, so pretty. Here are the kids in front of the waterfall:
Butterflyshow016.jpg

We had a great time. If you’ll be in the Cincinnati area between now and June 21st I highly recommend going, we sure had fun!
Hope you enjoyed our weekend adventures. We have a very busy week ahead of us Luke has field day and a field trip, I have a super busy day at work and both kids have practices, pictures, or games every single night this week, but the busier we are the faster time flies to Disney : )
Have a great week everyone! :goodvibes
