We've never done this tour before, but I think the kids would like it. I'd love to hear some experiences. The Disneyland website doesn't say anything about specific days they do this tour, but wdwinfo says it is only Fri, Sat, and Sun. We're doing a Mon-Fri trip in July. Do they do it during the week, too?

We have premium annual passes, do we get a discount?

This tour is available on weekends only and yes there is a 20% AP discount. My DS10 and DS5 had a great time on the tour, and they said it was a highlight of our trip. You basically find clues to solve a puzzle. You get to go on a few rides and get a treat at the end. It is definitely kid orientated, but as a family we all enjoyed it and it was fun to do something different.

We are doing a mon-friday trip in december and I plan to book this for the friday of our visit. I think the kids will love it with how interactive it is... plus after 4 days in the park it will mix things up a little bit. The adults in our group are going on the walt tour and myself and my sister are taking the 3 kids on this. Can't wait!!

Here is a review I read that does not give too many spoilers-

We did this tour last summer for DD6's bday. We all had a great timeand the kids enjoyed being able to meet and play with other kids.

You can read about the tour in my July trip report in my signature. The tour starts on page 4. There are a lot of pictures but don 't read it if you want to play along with the treasure hunt and be surprised.

Maybe we'll do it on our last day (Friday).

Is there some sort of treasure thing the kids find? They did the pirate scavenger hunt at WDW a couple of years ago, and they found a treasure (mostly candy). I'm just wondering if the kids get something.

From the link I posted it looks like the kids go around the park finding different chests. Each chest has a puzzle piece in it with a tip on your next location and also dress up stuff. So the kids can dress as pirates etc. After so many pieces and 3 rides the kiddos the clue leads you to mickey and he helps you put together the final piece. Then you get a souvenir cup of frozen apple juice or hot chocolate (depending on season) and a medal on a lanyard.

Like I said this is just what I put together based on that one review. I've not read any other reviews yet.

Yes, you go to each land looking for treasure chests (they don't have candy in them.) Each chest has a puzzle piece with a clue to the next chest. At the end you put the puzzle together and it leads you to Mickey's house. You go see Mickey and he gives you a medal. Then the tour guides give you a frozen apple juice in a souvineer cup.
