Has anyone done the discover the magic tour? We are traveling with kids 3 to 7 and are looking for a fun group activity. Any input would be great!

Thanks

Your kids will love it. The 3 year old may not know exactly whats going on but your 7 year old should be ok. Its a treasure hunt where when you find a clue it leads you to another clue. You get to get in the front of buzz lightyear, pirates, king arthurs carousel and another ride that I cant name off hand. Its a great time that gives you a different look at DL. Plus its amazig at how plain in sight the clues are but if you are not looking for it, you woudl walk right by it. Plus the end and what you get to do it, makes the whole thing worth it.

That does sound great. Do you think it is worth the price? How many people are in the group? Do you get lunch? I talked to someone at vacation planning and they indicated we get lunch. I did not see confirmation on the web site. I think the vp person was a bit confused. Also, we are goin in August - does this tour on happen on Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

You are right. :) There is no lunch with that tour. It included lunch years ago, but that has been discontinued for a while now. They do give you a "frozen treat" though. We received a frozen apple juice which we enjoyed since it was a very warm day when we did the tour. :)

Thanks

It does sound good. Now I have to convince my sister-in-law on the money. It says on-line entrance to 6 rides. Seems to me that many in 2.5 hours makes it worth it. It would be great if we can do it on Monday when we are there alone but I can not find any confirmation that it happens on more than the weekend.

I am still hoping that since we are going in August that it could be on other days.

:goodvibes

We did this tour 2 years ago for my 30th Birthday with our 4 and 5 year olds and my parents. It was AMAZING! Without a doubt my favorite Disney moment ever was pretending we were airplanes and flying through Disney :)

Thank you - that is totally my feeling on it. If worse comes to worst - I will convince DH that we can give my nephews the tour for their May birthdays. I hate to make little boys wait until August for presents but I just know this will seem like a ridiculous expense to dsil (dear sister in law abbreviation?). I just wish we could get it on our alone day which seems like it will only be Monday. That way I do not have to worry about her judging the whole thing even though she is not paying.

As it is our alone day is really getting booked up!!!! :rotfl2:
