Discounts?

So before I knew about this BB I made reservations for 13 nights in a perferred site for me, the misses and dogs. Included was 10 day hopper for both of us. I don't have my rates handy but suspect I paid full price for everything (something like $1,750 total).

Is it too late to get any kind of discounts? Yes, I get a free day in the parks for my birthday, but that does no good unless I leave the misses in the RV while I go myself.

We check-in in 10 days. I will do a online check-in in a few days.

Thanks!

First, you need to find out what discounts you might be eligible to request. Are you a Florida resident? a passholder? a AAA member? One good source to look for discounts is mousesavers.com. If you have the discount codes, you can call central reservations and ask if any are available for your dates. If a discount is available, they will adjust your reservation. This whole process is rather confusing, as when a discount is offered, they claim that it is only for a limited number of sites. So, just because you have a reservation, and may appear to be eligible for a discount, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will get the discount. But, it sure doesn't hurt to try.

I am not certain, but unless you are eligible for AAA, FL resident, or AP discount, there are no other discounts for September. Like TCD stated even if you are eligible for any of the above discounts, they only have a certain number of sites that they allow for those discounts, so it doesn't necessarily mean you will get the discount. I'm sure you know that free dining is not available for camp sites and that has been the big promotion going on with Disney. There was mention of a 28% discount on another thread, but I believe that is for October and November and I'm not sure how that works for camp sites. Definitely check out mousesavers. Good luck!

Actually the 28% discount is valid for campsites and the code is FSC. If they have sites availbile you qualify for the discount. Good Luck

Can you request a AAA discount directly to Disney or do you have to make those ressies through AAA? Just curious. Thanks!

Hmmm, just asked about "FSC" for a stay this October. It worked out to a 14% discount ($49 vs $57 full rate). That was for a full hookup, maybe 28% if for other sites? Could be cheaper to go with a preferred or premium site if that's the case.

And FYI, Florida Resident discount was about 17.5% ($47). AAA would be 20% ($45.60), but I couldn't get it for this stay. Resident rate is pretty close so I went with that.

And on a slightly different topic. I don't think you can email or chat with CRO, right? Would be nice to send an email or chat, easier to cut and paste resvervation numbers, espicially when we have 5 sites reserved in our group. Less time with a phone stuck in my ear too.

Less than 2 months to go.....

Thanks for the reply. I called and the AAA discount was available for our dates in January. for partial hookup. Glad I decided to ask. Saved us $26.96 total. But every little bit helps. Thanks again for being so helpful. We can not wait to get there. I haven't camped at the fort since I was a child. I do not remember the year or date. But I do remember the MAGIC! And River Country of course. Those were the days!
