Discounts with AAA?

Never even thougth of this until I was reading other posts. I Always plan on getting AP rates. Historically, what kind of discounts do you get with a AAA membership (on Disney hotels). Now I am wondering how big a difference there is between AAA and AP rates. We are looking at either the Poly or the WL the week after thanksgiving. Thanks for your help.

The standard AAA discount is 15% for value and moderate resorts, and 10% for deluxe. Nothing huge, but better than nothing.

For the Disney owned properties, the discount is probably about double for an AP over a AAA membership, but the AAA membership is about $300.00 cheaper.

However, if you look at the Dolphin or Swan the AAA and AP discounts are usually about the same.

Value Season
15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness campsites.

Regular Season
10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

Peak Season
10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply around Christmas

My AAA discount saved us $450 over rack rates on a king room for 14 days at Coronado Springs. That's a lot of Dole Whip!
