discounts on packages

I read Disneylover70' s thread about getting a discount on the package she has reserved for May. I have called WDTC twice and they keep telling me I can't apply a code to the package I have, they tell me it applies to room only. I have a silver package and do have the disney club discount allready. Do I need to keep calling or leave it alone?

I was told you can't apply a code to a package.

Would it be cheaper to cancel your package and book everything seperately and using a code for your room?

I guess if I was going to do the above, I would book my room only with the code and then cancel the package. Don't cancel the package and then try to book a room with the code because it may not be available.

I'm only suggesting this. You'll have to run the numbers.

If you stay with the package at least you received the DC discount.

I've never heard of anyone being able to apply a room-only code to a package.

Although youve booked a package ... ask the operator to apply the code to the room portion of your package. Some will. Some wont. Keep trying.

You can do tis with AP rates on packages too. Book a package and then asked for an AP rate to be applied when one becomes available.

Depneds on the code and when you are going maybe. There is a ZXWB code that I am using on my package. It works like the AX* codes. Call back and give that a try. Good Luck!!

There is a code that applied to the basic Dreammaker pkg but not to any of the add-ons as of yet. Both my TA and I have been trying for weeks-we have the gold add on-with no luck. Not one CM would apply the discount to the room portion only. They told us it was because the room only codes are booked through CRO and the package codes are booked through WDTC.

When trying to get the AXB or AXA code applied to my basic package I was told no. The only way they could do that was if I added park hoppers and since I did not need hoppers I chose to cancel the ressie and book my land and air seperately. It worked out well for me, I ended up getting my air cheaper and of course the AXA code on my room. I ended up with a total savings of about $437. Have a great trip and good luck.

Although this is back in October, we were able to apply a code to the Silver Plan. It was a special code specifically for the Silver Plan that I found on www.mousesavers.com. Keep checking. We saved $1,000 staying at AKL and our friends saved $400 staying at POFQ!!!!!

Trish5768 - I called and tried to book basic pkg using AX*, then have them add the gold addon and my quote actually came up $2400 higher than I am already paying.

I tried using the ZXWB code for my DC package (room only plyus the mini golf) in May. Of course it wouldn't work for the reasons mentioned above.

HOWEVER, the CM spent some time looking for a code that would work.

SHE FOUND ONE

ZWHV

That's what I wrote down. I hope it is right.

It saved me 40%.

So if you have a room only package through WDTC, try the code.

Good Luck

I'm confused  (story of my life) is that code only for room ressies or a package? I'd love to find a code that works with the silver add on package. Is there one out there??
Thanks:teeth:

It is for a room only "package" through WDTC. When you book through the Disney Club, you book through WDTC and they book packages. So, in order to book room only, they add on tickets to either mini golf or WWOS.

What dates is that code good for? Now I'm wondering if it would be chaeper to do that and get passes seperate. 40% off seems pretty good! What resort was that for if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

As it turns out, this may have been a "comeback rate" which I shouldn't have been able to get. Others have tried to use it and they couldn't.

I guess I just lucked out. (Now worrying that WDW will honor the rate when I check in)
