discounts on family tickets for CareerStart CM?

My son just got accepted to CareerStart and will arrive on 8/14/06. The family is planning to visit during Christmas. I know he gets a discount on on-site resort rooms, but does this include packages or tickets or dining plan? If not I was going to go ahead and order our tickets in advance and then have him order the room when he gets there. Thanks for your help! I'm sure he will post latter because he is really excited

Hi!!! I am also going August 14th for Careerstart but I am not sure on the discounts. My family also wants to visit during Christmas so I told them they would have to wait until I am down there to find out what discounts I get. If it is only hotel rooms I would suggest going the first week of December for your family....it is a slow time but it still feels like Christmas!!! Is your son on the site??? And what area is he going into???

I think we all are planning visiting our kids the same time..The only think I know this that they are given the discount cards on day two or three...My daughter will be arriving on Aug 21st instead of the 14th. I will wait until I hear from her to make my plans...

As it stands right now...I need to pay for my room myself upon her arrival..Our plans are to get there Aug 20th...we are staying at the Holiday Inn sunspree that is down the road from Vista Way,,if that is where he's staying...

Hope to stay in touch..with other parents who's kids are in the program...

no CM discounts on packages or dining plan. They CAN get a discount on tickets (must purchase the tickets at the Company D stores, NOT at theme park ticket windows, and not on phone/internet ticket sales). Discount usually ends up being roughly 10% off published ticket price.
