Discounts on deluxe resorts?

Has anyone ever gotten better than a 20% discount or pin for the deluxe resorts? I thought 2 years ago we got 40% off a night. What are the chances of them releases such a discount for 2013 room rates?

Last April (2011) we got 40% off at the GF with AP discount, this year we are getting around 65% for this Labor day week from a TA with a agency exclusive. In the past I have also gotten some 40% off pins but it was never for our travel dates, so we could not use it . I would say there is always hope.

Discounts are getting harder to find. Right now I have a 35% Bounce Back offer booked for December at WL. I will wait and see if a better discount comes out.

I am booked at a 30% off PIN for my October 2012 trip for Deluxe. I got it last November "Game On". The 30% off PIN was good for all levels of resorts.

In 2010, we got a 40% off pin for deluxes. This year, we got a 30% off pin for deluxes. One time doesn't really mean that there aren't any 40% off deals out there somewhere, I suppose.

I had 40% off for our trip last month, and have 40% off again for our trip in April 2013. It's a military discount, but yes, 40% still exists and I am very grateful.

We too had a 40% off in 2010 and this year only a 30%. But we are greatful to get any discount al all. Especially for BC, this is the highest price resort we have stayed at yet.

There are certain times of the year when Disney offers discounts. In September 2010 Disney was offering 40% off Deluxes, we ended up getting 42% off GF CL with our AP's. In May of 2011 Disney was offering 35% off deluxes, we ended up getting 40% off BWI CL with our AP's.

During value season Disney will offer discounts, right now the big discounts seem to be free-dining. Many love it.

We usually stay deluxe CL and it's just too much wasted time and food for our family. We are not big eaters we will do a few TS lunches but most of our meals come from CS. The discount we get more then pays for our food.

We will be returning next September and hoping for a BC or YC Discount.

Continually check the mousesavers website, the resorts discount board here, and the special offers page on Disney's site. Make sure you order the planning DVD and use an Email address you look at often; that way with luck, you may get a PIN-coded offer.

Don't be fooled by the examples they give in that ad. You can book a Free Dining package when you arrive any day 11/23 through 11/29 and get it for your entire stay. I don't know whether you have to buy one or two days MYW tickets to qualify now, but whichever it is, you don't need to buy hoppers or plus options or trip insurance.

Has anyone actually received a PIN code discount after requesting the DVD? How soon after receiving the DVD did you receive the PIN? I read on here about calling and asking if there are any PINs associated with your name/address. I tried calling and the CM I spoke with said that they cannot check that and if I am offered a discount, I would receive a mailing. I really hope I do.

It's probably due to the construction there and the closures of some of the amenities. From the WDW website:

I've been getting the DVDs for the past 12 years, and have yet to receive a PIN code because of that. So good luck!

Same here. I go to WDW 4-6 times a year and at least twice a year order a planning DVD. I also order the maps, go online and save trips, do all the surveys they've ever sent me, etc. I've still never received a PIN. As an AP holder I go several times a year though, so I guess they know they have me hooked and think they don't need to offer me a PIN.
