Looking at a family reunion in late June.

Any chance of a deal for Grand Californian?

Not likely. You may find a ticket deal for extended length PHs. Otherwise late june is busy and you won't find many hotel deals let alone through disney.

If you want to save some money. If your situation includes where one person pays for most of the things. You may consider a premium AP to get dining and merchandise discounts. Also at least a small AP saving on a room rate.

During the week of July 4th, 2009, I got five nights for three at the Disneyland Hotel. I'm not sure if they offered that at Grand California or not.

I had actually booked four nights at Paradise Pier around March 2009. The next month or so, they came out with the Five for Three promotion. I called to re-book and found I could get upper level view at the DH for the same as my original booking at the PP. The CM didn't charge me anything for the package change.

Last two years they did offer the 5 for 3 deal at GC. That's what we did. That offer didn't happen until I want to say somewhere around mid April after the spring deals expired.
