I have a friend that works for disney and she has said in the past that she can get us a discount of 60% off of disney hotels. I have read though, that they don't give discounts off of suites. Does anyone know about this? Does anyone else work for disney out there? or knows someone that works for disney? I hate asking my friend this question, I don't want her to feel that is all I want from her. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't think Disney uses the words "discount" and "suites" in the same sentence. We got two connecting rooms at POP for $664 (total including tax), to get a suite at All Star Music? Much, much more...

Disney does have AAA discounts on the Family Suites.
There have also been discounts and codes on the Family Suites in the last several months.
I am not sure if CM's can get the CM discount rate for friends and family at a Family Suite.

Suites are NEVER discounted.

Now, they may tell you they have a "special rate", but the actual price will not change. Don't know what's special about that!

We stayed in a 2 bdrm suite at the GF last trip, and I talked with several different TAs and CMs. The suites just aren't discounted.

So get that second mortgage on your house and prepare for your suite experience! :rotfl2:

The CM "extra guest bedroom" discount is 40% off, not 60% off. And the CM has to make the reservations.

When the Family Suites first opened there were no discounts.

They started giving discounts on the Family Suites spring /or summer of 2007.

The last several times Disney offered codes there were discounts on the family suites.

I had a king bed at Pop.

I just booked a family suite for August! I am looking forward to it. I got a AAA rate :cool1: . I requested Jazz building, since when I was considering standard I wanted Jazz, but I see Calypso is preferred..... .

I too just booked a family suite for August 08 with a AAA discount.

Just booked a room only AAA rate for a Family Suites at the end of August. .......

We have booked ASMu Family Suites for Oct. 08...I know this has been covered, but this is such a long thread, I can't locate the answer real quick right now.:) I know the Suites are in the Calypso and Jazz buildings...if you had to request one of those, which one would it be? I know they are both considered preferred locations, but just out of curiosity, which one would you choose if you could? Also, I have a AAA rate right now, I think it ends up at about $164 a night before taxes...can I honestly hope for a better rate or code to come out? I know it may be into the spring before we know for sure, but what is the feeling? Do I have a decent shot of lowering that rate some way or another? The info on this thread has been SO helpful...thanks to everyone!:goodvibes

I have a AAA rate for late December 2008 and I am at less than $150/night before taxes. What season is that considered? There might be a code available, but I can't say if it will be better. I have had my AAA rate be better than the Disney code on 2 occasions, so you just never know. There was a time recently that the suites weren't even discounted, so I am counting my blessings that I was able to get a AAA discount. It will probably be more like late summer before a discount for that time period is released. I would certainly hold onto that ressie for that price, and if another one comes along, see if they have any suites avail at a discounted price.

Keep your eyes open because there are dicounts on the Family Suites.

Family suites at the values are a different story, I believe.

I am talking about the suites at the deluxes--they don't get discounted, nor do codes apply to them.

Hey there,

Booked a the Poly 1 bedroom suite for 8-days. The CM tried to apply a variety of codes to it for a discount, but the system won't allow it.

I don't believe they discount suites because there are so few of them.

We are going Thanksgiving 2008. I was just thrilled to get the suite as they are frequently booked years in advance at the Poly. A discount would have been a nice bonus though!

Good Luck!

The CM "extra guest bedroom" discount is 40% off, not 60% off. And the CM has to make the reservations.

During holiday time I believe its 60% for certain times, the OP might be going then so the CM might have just said 60%.

Are you talking specific suites, or DVC villas? You can get a CM on DVC villas if they're available.

That is not correct. Also, I don't think (exact) CM discounts are supposed to be discussed on the boards.

When we first booked our Janu 2008 trip, there were AAA discounts available for the All Star Suites. However, we only booked a regular value room thinking we would upgrade to WL when codes were released. After reading all of minnie61650's posts, we decided we really wanted the Suites and called to switch, but there were no more AAA rate rooms available.

We are calling every day to see if any value suites with a AAA rate open for the end of January, but it doesn't look good. However, they did have a small number available when we first booked (there's a lesson there).

Years ago I got a great AP rate for the Garden Suites at the BWI but that was in 2002. I tried again in 2004 for our wedding and there wasn't any available.

Suites are NEVER discounted.

Incorrect. We had reservations for 11/25 check-in for 4 nights Poly GV at rack rate and 4 nights Ft Wild Cabin with AP discount. We kept calling to try and get an AP rate for the Poly off and on for a month. Last week my wife was offered MK view at AP rate or a 1BR Suite for $2000. The rack for 1BR Suite is $750/night, that's 33% off. Granted it was not an advertised rate but it was offered.

No, we didn't get the 1BR, even though it was a great rate, we didn't get the MK view either. 2 days later we got the AP rate on the GV.
