Discounts at Universal hotels?

I wanted to ask this on the Universal board but for some reason I cannot access it.
Is there a way to get a discount at any of the Universal hotels? I thought I remember reading about a discount using the Entertainment book. Last time we went I was able to get a great rate at Portofino off of Hotwire ($175), but I don't want to have to count on that since we will need 3 rooms. We plan to go in early June (not this year, maybe next?). We would stay in any of the three hotels. How much have you paid in the past at any of these hotels?

Last summer (July) I got Portofino for $159 on the ENT discount. This Year (July) I have Royal Pacific on the APH discount for $147. The FAN club discount was $157.

You can get a discounted rate using a couple of ways.

There's AAA, the Entertainment card, the Universal Fan Club card and AP rates, all of which are out now for the summer.

Go to the Loews Hotel Website to check the availability of rooms and discounts for your dates. Enter the following codes:

• AAA = AAA
• ENT = Entertainment Card
• FAN = Fan Club Card
• APH = Annual Pass Holder

You can obtain a Fan Club Card by emailing a couple of DISboard members who were nice enough to send them to anyone who requests them.

The Entertainment Card comes with the purchase of an Entertainment Coupons Book.

I got a great discount using an APH rate at the PBH: $202/night for a bay view in mid-July. There are still some discounts available but don't wait too long to book as they disappear withou warning.
