If I book the room discount can I still get the dining plan? OR do you have to book a package with room and tickets?

If you use the room discount, you can still pay for the dining plan and pay for park tickets. Over the phone, they will ask you if you want the dining plan and/or tickets and if and when they get this on the special offer page online, you can add the dining plan and/or tickets.

I called to see if the discount would be better than the pin I had on my existing reservation and the guy said that was really a AAA code and I should book through them. Then he said he would check and then came back saying that there was no standard rooms at the CBR left with that code on my dates. No preferred either but I was free to call back and keep checking. Hard to believe there is no std. rooms left when the code doesn't really start till tomorrrow.

This only means that Disney may have not released any standard rooms or any rooms for this discount. They may be rooms available but not for discount. Disney may open up rooms at CBR when other resorts fill up. In order for people to get a discount they may move their reservations, thus opening rooms for CBR discounts. You should keep checking for this possibility.

The CM I talked to told me there were no standard rooms left at Pop under the 2 kids free codes listed here and I just couldn't believe it either. They were able to find me a different kids free code (KX6) to use though, thank goodness!

I got my conformation ten minutes after I talked to the nice lady that helped me change my reservation. I would call.

Quick question-if I book a trip using this discount and want to modify my dates after the dates you can book (after 3/27) is that allowed, or will I lose the discount? I'm not talking about changing the dates all together, just adding or subtracting a day or two...is that ok?

Yes, I have always been able to do this. Just did it today with my free dining ressie. That offer expired but I was able to make changes to it!

Dang! I am trying to plan a cruise then was going to do a few days of Disney catch the MNSSHP in October. which by the time we got there would be around Oct 6-a few days AFTER the discount room only expires.

Does anyone think another promo will happen right after the expiration of Oct 1?

I never get a email confirmation that everyone talks about. I just go to the Disneyworld site under my vacation and put my reservation number in and it was there so I print it out. Not sure why some get the email and some don't. They do verify my address everytime I talk to them.

The CM said that we would recieve our confirmation anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour- but it never came. I showed up in my dad's email today in the morning- about 24 hours after we booked. Make sure you check your junk mail- dad said that is where his was.
We also checked online about an hour after we booked- and there it was.

Lately there has been a code or promo for most parts of the year. Right after Oct. 1 is still a quiet time in the parks so I would imagine that something will come out.

It is also a good idea to always look at the price of an AP and the discount that it can get you. Sometimes it may only save you a little bit a little bit is better than nothing plus then you have an excuse to go again. Gotta love Disney marketing eh?

Maybe it's because everyone on the DIS already booked them. Don't give up just yet though, something may pan through for you

According to the Disney site the August discount starts on 8/14 not 8/16 for all of those planning.

Same thing happened to me. I'm a AAA member, 15% discount but for AAA there's no 2 BR villas available but at the regular rack rate they're available. CS said there's only a certain number of rooms allocated for AAA so they're gone fast.

Right now we are booked in the end of September with the free dining, first stay at AKL. But with the new room only discounts that just came out I am pondering to switch to this. I went on the disney website and played around with our dates. With our dates at AKL we could save $422 dollars, not too bad I guess. If we stayed at CSR we could save $319, again not bad. I would love to stay at POFQ but they aren't offering a higher discount like for CSR? Maybe it is a more popular resort? Anyways I think the dining plan may be a bit too much food for just me and the hubby as we have surived in the past without it.

Thanks guys! I went from a 15% off AAA discount to a 20% off YW3 discount at POFQ for 13 nights in May. It's not much but it saved me about $130.00.

WooHoo!!

Just changed our free dining reservation @ POR to 5 nights YC club level & 2 nights GF outer club with the new discounts!! I had only booked the free dining as a backup in case a room discount didn't come up.

We've never stayed at GF before. Should have done it other years when they had 40% off codes. Thought I'd better try it now with the 35% off. You never know, one day they might actually stop with these great deals.

Since I had an existing reservation, I just called to modify it after I had checked price & availibilty online. There was NO wait for an agent. "Lucinda" was wonderful. She did everything quick & easy. Very competent. On the phone about 15 mins total. She was so happy for us. Kept saying she was jealous of our dream vacation!!

Off to learn more about GF!!
