Discounts are available on purchase of Annual Pass?

Going to WDW in one week. Looks like I will return in less than a year so the purchase of an AP is right for me. Since it's nice to save $$, what's the best discount I can get on my AP? I have Entertainment, AAA, and Connections memberships. Additionally, I have good friend who's a CM--don't know if he can help with this (Have had 1 day hopper privileges from him before...).

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Mal, I've read reports that AAA has discounts on the APs, but they don't offer this in my region (Southern California). It's worth making a call to your local AAA office, though they probably have to order the vouchers (which you trade for passes on the day you activate them) and you're running out of time for that.

There is definitely a Disney Club discount. You can use it to buy the passes at the Downtown Disney Guest Services office or the Disney Store in the Orlando airport. You don't have time to buy them at a mall Disney Store, because they have to order the vouchers and it takes up to 3 weeks.

Not a lot of discounts on the APs, I'm afraid.

Back in April, when I bought our APs, I called all over (I mean literally all over--Michigan, Chicago, etc.) to find a AAA with a discounted AP (since I was already a AAA member). I couldn't find one. I then ended up joining the DC and used that discount.

I am starting to think that although different hopper passes are offered in different regions of AAA, no one that I contacted knew anything about APs.

I would be interested in hearing of anyone who got their AP thru AAA and got a discount--and which office was it?
