Discounts after Theme Park Ticket Purchase

With the park reservation system in place for the foreseeable future it has become advantageous to purchase your theme park tickets as early as possible so that you are able to make your park day reservations as early as possible.

My question is if I buy theme park tickets now for a trip late in 2021 and then between now and our trip Disney offers any promotions or discounts on theme park tickets, is there anyway to get the discont applied to already purchased tickets?

This is a situation that occurs often with hotel room only bookings and it has always been easy enough to call Disney once a new promotion is announced to get it applied to your existing room reservation with no issue. But since theme parket tickets are paid up front in full and sold as nonrefundable is there a new risk in buying tickets early and missing out on discounts?

I can't particularly think of ticket discounts offered by WDW, other than a special ticket like the 4 Park Magic offering. In that case, you may have been able to change the tickets IF your original ticket had cost less than the special ticket, but otherwise no. (I'm also not sure that ticket could be added to a package.) Package offers might be where you find a "discount" but generally there is a concurrent room-only offer that is available to those who do not need tickets.
