Discounted Theme Park Tickets for Canadians - where to buy?

If I have enough points I get them free through airmiles and if not I use undercovertourist through the mousesavers link.

I use my airmiles. I rarely have to actually pay for my tickets. I do however, upgrade my AM tickets to 10 day premium tickets.

Our family enjoys staying onsite (though I keep eyeing Bonnet Creek!) during low season. So we go in September and buy our tickets direct through Disney as we take the Free Dining plan.

If we do stay at Bonnet Creek one day, then I'll purchase our tickets through the Disney YES program.

If that is not an option, then through Undercover Tourist.

Ok... those options above are just for Disney! :) For everywhere else, most likely through UT.

We are going on Feb.2nd and considering ordering tickets from UT too. Wondering how long it would take for tickets to arrive since we haven't ordered yet. Anyone have experience with time frame? Thanks.

Mine arrived 4 days after I ordered them.
Canadian orders ship from an office in downtown Toronto.

You can also choose the option to pick up the tickets in Orlando.

Looking at the costs, I believe that CAA is cheaper than UT (even with the mousesavers.com extra discount). Why is that?

With UT, if you pay in American dollars, then a Canadian credit card will charge you at least 2.5% in the currency conversion fee.

The Canadian exchange rate is about 97c - 98c US to the Canadian dollar. If you pay through UT in Canadian dollars, then its exchange rate is closer to
93c per Canadian dollar - ie you have to pay at least 4% more than the actual ticket price.

So the CAA rate (for members) is competitive with the UT rate - and you can pick the tickets up at a nearby location.

PS-Does UT charge mailing fees, if you do not pick up the tickets in Orlando?

When I go to my CAA account and click the link to buy tickets, it sends me to the Walt Disney World website and takes off the CAA discount. However, all prices are still displayed in American, and once you click "submit" to purchase the tickets, they add on the tax. So the 7 day base tickets I am looking at for our family of four come out to 100 dollars more with the CAA link than Undercover Tourist, and both prices are in American.

Are any of the deals better than free dining?

What are the best deals out there? Currently we are going with the free dining - should I look for something better next time?

Free Dining is almost always the best deal ... the more people in your party, the better the deal. However, one person in a deluxe room with a 35% discount is a better deal, for that circumstance. ... This is rare though ... take the free eats and run ... don't second guess it.
