I just booked my hotel rooms for October 17-24, 2009 at the Howard Johnson hotel in Anaheim, hojoanaheim.com, and found some really great rates for that time period. No matter what type of rate I request, I get a National Brand Promotion Rate with rooms available from $79.20 and up. The Disney facing rooms, NQQ1, are available for $95.20. IMO, these are pretty good rates for this hotel with the possibility of getting the Entertainment rate ($59-79) in the future.

These rates may be available for other dates, but I only tried mine. Good luck to all of you looking for a Hojo room!

Maybe it's for the entire year? I tried the dates for the weekend of Valentine's Day and that's what came up too!! Thanks! :)

I called and made our reservations for our Sept trip just last week. I have a standard room at $113 a night. I tried my dates and can't get standard rooms to pull up only deluxe and the king suite. If I call or email Jennifer at Hojos (she is who I spoke to), could there be a chance of me getting my standard room reduced?? I would just switch to a deluxe, but I want to be in Building 4 which is standards only.

I'm not sure why you can't get standard rooms to come up, but I do know that when we were there in September 2008, the hotel was packed full as there were several girls' dance groups and their families that were from Australia. I wonder if they could be returning again this year?

I've never stayed in Building 4. We always stay in Building 2 and really like it.

We are going to be there 9/25-10/2. The rooms that are coming up are NQQ2 which I believe are in Building 2 (right?:confused3 ). The more I think about it, I am sort of leaning towards seeing if we could just upgrade to the NQQ2 for the $91.20 rate that is coming up. I am a little nervous about how far back Building 2 is. It is that much farther we will have to walk with our little ones. I don't know what to do........

NQQ2's are in Bldg. 2, which is about 30 extra steps. Not far, seriously. It's our favorite bldg. I would go ahead knowing you would get the upgraded beds/bedding and micro too.

I am leaning more and more towards the upgrade. It all just makes me so nervous. This is the first trip that I am actually doing all the planning and reserving. Before this, my mom has taken care of everything (yes, I know very sad considering I am 25, married, and have 2 kids.) I pretty much did all of the planning for our carribean cruise last Feb, but mom had the final say. Everything I chose turned out wonderful except for the limo which was HORRIBLE, but that is for another board. Okay, sorry for the rambling. I would love anyones opinions on Building 2. Best floors, worst floors, pros, cons, or just any little tidbit anyone is willing to share.

I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to an NQQ2 room in Building 2. We've stayed in this building several times and have always been pleased. We don't find the walk to really be any farther and love the garden pool view and balconies. Plus the microwaves really come in handy.

I guess it's true that if you snooze, you lose. :sad2: I checked the HoJo's website again today to make a second reservation and the discounted rates are now gone. All that I can get to come up are the regular rates. I'm thinking this must have been a glitch. Congrats to all who were able to lock in a lower rate.
