Where is the best place to get discounted DL park tickets? I am looking for 3-4 day parkhopper tickets. Are there any Disney approved companies that sell them or does everyone just buy them through Disney?
Have you looked into your dates on Last Minute Travel? They are the best I have found. You can follow a link at freebies.com for a free membership for LMT.
I used LMTClub.
I easily found a one year free membership code from retail me not.
I got a 4 day park hopper for $291.
I was skeptical at first but many others use it on here so I decided to save some money.
Walked up tot he turnstile and had no trouble exchanging the ticket voucher for the paper ticket.
LMTclub, Parksavers, and Undercover Tourist seem to have the best reputations. I believe Park Savers you can also use codes to get an even better discount, that can be easily found. Keep in mind that some sites advertise price without tax, whereas others include tax in their prices. Also some may add convenience fees and handling/shipping charges. So make sure you compare apples to apples, run through adding them into your cart on each and verify the totals.
I had trouble finding info on Costco other than a vacation package. And for AAA it says visit your nearest branch for info. Do you know of ways to check online for either?
For AAA, it can depend on your local branch. I'll call several branches, then go to the one that has what I want. It is worth checking around because different offices can offer different things. We have friends who use Costco for DLR travel needs. Will check into it the next time we stop by to shop. For tickets alone without a deal (e.g. buy 4 days, get the 5th free type deals), LMT seems to have the lowest prices right now.
If you have a Target card, you get a 5% discount on all purchases, including gift cards. You can buy the amount of gift cards needed for the tickets and then use the gift cards to buy your tickets from the Disneyland website. I just did a quick calculation for my trip - buying gift cards at Target would make the cost of two adult Three Day Park Hopper tickets $598.50, instead of $630 through the Disneyland website. Some of the discount websites were charging $614, so at least for this example Target is the better choice.
For my last trip I looked at menus and planned how much I wanted to spend on souvenirs plus tickets, and then purchased that dollar amount in gift cards at target. I ended up with an extra 5% to spend! It seems like the best way to save on tickets, at least that I've found.
