Discount for teachers at Dolphin?

I need to add a day on both sides of my summer vacation to make up for flying rather than driving--I usually need two hotel nights on either side of the drive so I just want to be in WDW instead! With no AP rates for July/August yet and my obsessive need to plan I was wondering about the Dolphin teacher discount. I am a teacher and I do have an ID, but how do I go about attempting to reserve at this rate (and is the rate that good?)?

We got the teacher rate for august at the Dolphin, or maybe the swan, cant remember, but it was $179 per night. Just call them and ask for the teacher rate.

I have since changed our reservation to the AKL. $179/night just didnt seem cheap enough for me

You got AKL for $179 or less? I always use the Teacher's discount at Swan/Dolphin because I can never get deluxes that cheap.

Yeah, we got a 30% off code and used for AKL and brought it to about the same price. So we went for that
