We normally buy an annual pass for our two trips to DW each year. Our daughter is going on the college program on June 4 and our passes expire on June 26. She will be there until Jan. 4.
Should we still buy the annual passes or are there passes that our daughter will have for us ? If we want to visit her a few times while she is there, does she get any kind of discount for her family as far as buying park tickets? (Like a percentage off rather than what it would cost us if she wasn't working there)

Thanks for the info. Marla

Also....... anyone know the easy way to rent a car for just one day? (Thought that it would be nice to have a car to help her move in on atleast one of the days when she gets there.)

Yes she will get a discount on park tickets. But the discount is not all that great. You can do almost as well yourself if you follow the tips here on the board.

Several times a year they get a special free pass for 1 days admission.

My daughter is on the program.

My daughter has been on the program since late January. I don't think she has gotten any one day passes for free.

She has bought discounted tickets at Company D for family. Those tickets are slightly less than what you could get with either a Disney Club discount or advance purchase discount. The annual passes cost her $353 for a non-Florida resident.

You can rent a car at WDW through their Car Care Center. There are also some other car rental agencies located in some of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd.

My daughter is in the program from Jan-May and only received 2 one-day hopper passes. I was able to get a better discount on APs with my DC discount.

Just so you know CM's are not supposed to discuss their discounts/perks in open forums. If you need specifics I would suggest pm'ing someone to get more info. I do not know what the CP perks are, so please don't ask me. Disney has a variety of discounts available to CM's.
Hopefuly the CP person will be able to get the answers before they arrive or shortly after.
Good luck.

Was that covered in Traditions?

I quoted the price for an AP in Company D that was on a paper they freely gave out to anybody.

Buying tickets for others is actually one perk that can be shared with others.... but please dont bug your local disney store CMs for discount tickets (or other CMs that u know) because they only get a limited amout of tickets that can be bought per calander year.

another thing your daughter might want to consider is getting a FL state ID. I've talked to some other CPs and a bunch of us are planning on doing this. Once she moves into Vista/Chatham she is considered a FL resident and is there for allowed to get a FL ID as long as she brings her housing papers with her to the FL DMV. That way you can get a lot of good FL resident discounts as well as the Disney CM discounts!
Here is the link to the thread on "WDWCPInfo.com" that talks about it. A lot of us are also planning on getting season passes to IOA and USF.
