Discount for Kids Club

Hi!

I know that if you book a package you get a discount coupon for the Kids Clubs. But then I read that you can get a coupon for booking just a MYW package which if I am correct is just the hotel and at least a few days worth of tickets?

Can someone please help me with this? I didn't know which forum to put it in either, hope this is right.

Directly from Disney's website re: MYW packages:

Children's Activity Centers Discount -- 15% off the regular hourly rates at the Children's Activity Center located at select Disney Resort hotels. Minimum charge of 2 hours per child. Services available for children ages 3-12.

So does that mean you have to get a full package with room/tix/dining? Or can you get a room only discount and add on a day or two of tickets and still get the coupon?

A package doesn't have to include dining. A package can be room+tickets, and yes, you'd get the coupon. You do not get the coupon with a room-only reservation.

Room-only reservations and package reservations are handled by two different "arms" of the Walt Disney Co. and have different deposit and payment requirements. A room-only reservation only requires you to make a deposit equal to the first night's stay and you can cancel with no fee up to 5 days before arrival with no penalty. You pay the balance due on check-in. A package reservation requires a $200 deposit and the balance must be paid off 45 days before arrival. If you cancel within 45 days of arrival, you pay a $200 penalty. You can't just "turn" a room-only reservation into a package by buying tickets.
