Discount dates and trip dates

Wondering how this situation will work. Our stay dates are 4/26-5/5. Discounts released today are through 4/30 so half my dates were discounted. However, if Disney releases discounts for 5/1 and after could I apply that to the other part of my trip? Not sure how that works…. I don’t prefer to have 2 separate reservations, but if that is the only way then I suppose I could do it.
 
I cannot say for sure but my thought is what they will do is just "extend" the offer which would mean its the same offer and you could modify your reservation to include all dates vs having to cut dates and book a second reservation.

No, they definitely won’t be able to extend an offer into dates that aren’t included, except specific packages like free dining. Room discounts that have specific dates, only those dates will be discounted.

OP, if they eventually release a discount for your resort & room type on that last day, you’ll have to call. But the CM or guest services should be able to apply the new discount to your last day.

Yes my room was discounted only from 4/26-4/30, then non discounted rate from 5/1-5/5. So I just don’t know if I would be able to keep my discount for the first half then they can apply a new discount for the 2nd half? I mean preferably they just have a discount that would cover my whole trip 😆

It did not. Only got reduced rate up to 4/30 which is the end of the promo. I can see when I look at each days rate.

Yes, you’ll have to call, but the cm should be able to apply the new discount to the other dates. But they won’t take away the discount your other dates have. Of course, the usual disclaimer that your room & dates have to be available for a new reservation applies.

Yes this is my worry too. But for all I know they will come out with another offer that covers my whole trip too 🤷🏻‍♀️. I don’t prefer to deal with a split reservation if I don’t need to.

I suppose if I call the CM could split it for me right? Maybe that’s what I’ll do. Wait and see what the next promo is. If it does have a 5/1 start date I’ll call and then if they need to split my reservation into two they should be able to do it.
 
@jennab, do you need tickets? Did you look at the package discount that was also released? It has dates thru June.
I checked that deal, but the resort I want doesn’t show any availability and my backup options only have higher room categories so it doesn’t really end up any cheaper than booking room and tickets separately…

Yeah I wouldn’t like the idea of potentially ending up a split stay but I’d also be worried that if I didn’t split and wanted or needed to drop the May days after the end of April’s promotion they would give me new pricing on April. I’d want to make sure that part’s protected.

I think the phone agents can just cut days off my trip. In the past I called and they were able to remove a day without issue, but it’s been awhile so maybe it changed.

I’ve done the same thing. One trip I had a slight discount for our YC CL stay. A better discount came out & only covered my last night. I quick booked that room while I saw it. Then I called, the CM was able to drop the last night from my original reservation. Yes, I had 2 reservations then, but she marked them as continuing reservations. When we checked in, everything was fine. The CM was able to see my 2nd reservation & we were in the same room the whole trip.

Ok good to know. I think I’ll wait and do this if needed then. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Disney Visa or D+ promo comes out they covers my full trip dates!

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say in my post.
I mean if WDW extended the offer dates like said oh now its most nights through 5/31/25 and you can book until 5/13/25.
They have extended offers in that way in the past.
Then the OP would call and say hey so my dates are included in the offer now so can you add the discount to the dates that were not included in the initial offer.

I was NOT saying "oh call them and ask them if they can extend the offer for your whole trip". I realize they aren't going to do that even if you do say pretty please lol.
