I need to renew our APs by early Sept but since we'll be there for the Expo and after, thought I'd just do it then in the park. Then I got an card in the mail today saying I'd get a 20% off shopping coupon for renewal, but it gives the web address to do it. My question...does anyone know if you get this coupon renewing in person? If not I guess it would be smarter to just do it online to get the coupon.

I can't answer your question.

But at least a comment will bump it.

With your AP is it a Premium that already has a 20% off discount on merchandise? Or is it a Delux that is 10% so the coupon is only an extra 10%? Maybe if a Premium the coupon would be for 30% off.

Last year I got the renewal coupon and decided to buy myself a Skagen Mickey watch with it. They let me use the 20% coupon first then the 10% from my Deluxe AP at that store. So I think it came out to like 27% off or something. :goodvibes

That doesn't sound to bad, and a good way to do it if you have something you want in mind. Especially something for a big one time purchase like a nice watch, art or pile of books.

Taaren, did you renew online or in the parks like Nunzia is wondering?

We renewed online since we wanted the special AP design that had Mickey and Friends on the front and it was easier to get it ahead of time. Oddly enough DBF & I renewed at the same time, about a week before our trip, and my renewed AP arrived on Maui before our trip, and the DBF's AP didn't make it to NorCal in time, so he went to Guest Services and got a copy of his AP without being charged $20 since the CM agreed that there must have been a U.S.P.S. holdup of some variety.
It did not occur to us to ask for a second 20% coupon since we had one from my renewal already and I didn't use it til our big fall trip, but its probably worth asking at Guest Services ... maybe they can print one out on the spot?
