For those of you that are familiar with the discount codes, i.e. AEA, is there any chance that Disney will add more rooms? I tried using them today to get anything on the Magic Kingdom monorail track, and all of the cheap ones were booked.

Anybody have any luck with others cancelling the rooms reserved for these codes?

I don't know about Disney's properties, but at most hotels once a discount becomes unavailable, it stays unavailable. It means that the hotel has reached a certain occupancy level at which it no longer can offer a discount. The hotel wants to make as much money off of those rooms that are left as possible. So unfortunately, unless a huge group of rooms are cancelled at one time, they will take that one cancellation and turn around and sell it at the higher rate.
I am sorry I don't mean to disappoint you, but that is usually how it works from the hotel industry point of view.

What the other poster said isn't true with Disney. I called once to add on days and there was no rooms available with my discount . I was really bummed . then I read on the boards that sometimes they open up rooms to discount the closer to the date it gets. Took me about two weeks of calling everyother day but I finally was able to add the days I wanted with my discount. Since then I have learned they usually open up rooms to discounts on Sundays.(if this has changed someone correct me) So keep on trying for what you want, if they are rooms at rack rate for that time now. The closer it gets you will probably be able to get what you want. Or when you call ask the CM "What is the cheapest discounted rate I can get for such and such of time. "
They may come up with a code you can use that you don't know about. Good Luck and hope you get what you want.

Like I said, I wasn't sure if Disney did this or not. I figured they would be different.
I hope you can find something!
