Discount codes on WL deluxe?

Has anyone everyone ever been able to use a discount code or an AP discount code on a Deluxe Room at the WL?

We're a family of 5 and we stayed at the WL a few years ago (when there were 4 of us!) and would like to stay there again sometime. I was thinking about booking a Deluxe room for next year and then waiting/hoping a for a Discount code. But I also heard that discounts on the deluxe rooms are few and far between!

My DH and I are leaving Thurs. and used the BBY code for our WL Concierge level.

But is that the deluxe room (the one with a separate sitting area and that sleeps 6 people)?

I just called about this and was given the rate of $485 per night (gasp!!!). I am a Florida resident and a passholder but they weren't offering any discounts. To me it doesn't make sense.

I don't think thw WL has a Deluxe room like AK does(with a daybed to sleep 5). All WL has is a suite that is two rooms and sleeps 6-thus the high rate!

They have what they call the deluxe junior suite. It has two areas (like an L) with two queen beds and a fold out queen sleeper couch.

It's different than the vice presidential or presidential suite.

That's right, and on Disney's website, they now call these rooms "Deluxe Guest rooms". (But they used to be called Junior Suites.)

You know what, keep trying! If you're going when the 7/5 code is offered, ask for it.

**EVERYONE** told me NO discounts on CR 14th floor, concierge. But you know what, I *got* one!! The 7/5 one! Saved about $1200.

Ask! Ask! Ask! The most they can do is say "no"!

two years ago they told us that they never discount those rooms.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room in December 2002. We used a discount to save about 40% off of the room. It was slightly more than booking two Woods View rooms. But the view was worth it. We have a Deluxe Room booked for this December, hoping for a discount this time as well.
