DIScon- DVC meet- Report

I just returned from the DVC meet today during DISconII. It was a great success with about 25 members in attendance. TNRobin and I shared hosting this event and the turnout was more than expected!

Many THANKS to Judy Kaufman, DVC guide, for her presentation about DVC. She offered an overview of what's "new" at DVC and provided information brochures to all about the Member Getaway point charts for II exchanges. (Studios and GV's are still available as an exchange, but since they make up only 7% of accommodations at exchange resorts they weren't included in the charts.)

Judy was also kind enough to provide 10 year DVC pins, BCV pins and DVC logo Member caps to all those present.

Everyone took a tour of the BCV (make sure to look for the hidden Mickeys in the BCV rooms- there are many there!) and we also got an alligator tour. Yes, he/she is still in the canal next to the pool- accompanied by 4 large softshell turtles. I'd estimate his/her size to be about 4-5 in length and currently no threat to any human. He is still being fed however!

Thanks for the update on the meet Doc! Sounds like a fun and informative meeting. Wish I could have attended, but real life was calling..LOL!

Judy Kaufman's the best guide, we feel lucky to have her expertice in our purchasing dicisions, and there have been several with the add on's we've acquired.

Looking forward to our first BCV stay.
