OMG...

I love your reports and I could not believe you went down on a golf question, too!

Mine was for 64,000 ponts and it was something along the lines of "Who won the first PGA (I think it was PGA) golf tournament that was held in 1895 (I think it was 1895. I know it was 18 something because I was surprised they had national golf tournaments back then."... Uh huh! Really! I kept thinking that this question was too hard for a 64,000 one...but yours was worse!

My choices were:
a) (someone whose name I can't remember)
b) JK (or some initials close to that) Rawlings
c) Walter Hagen
d) Bobby Jones

The only one I was sure I could eliminate was Bobby Jones, so I too asked the audience...(I had already used my 50/50)...and the audience thought (as I did) that the answer was Walter Hagen (70%). I think we were all thinking of Ben Hogan is what I think! lol

Anyway, the answer was Rawlings. Like you, I will never forget this obscure fact. Although I have tried and tried to find information on this on the internet I keep coming up empty.

Sigh...oh well, we can try again after 30 days! I REEEEEEEALLLY want that cruise! When are you going back down? I'm gonna be solo sometime in March or April and I want to try the Epcot Segway tour too.

Hey, we could be undercover agents together for a day! I'm sure noone would suspect me. I'm a 54 year old, somewhat chunky mother of 6 whose kids and husband are all busy with school so I often get to go down to Florida for a few weeks (oldest daughter lives there and sometimes she comes over to the condo to play too)...lol...but nobody seems to love Disney as much as I do...they all think I'm going to outgrow it someday...lololol

Anyhow...congrats on making the Hot Seat! Your report just made my day! Thanks!

Seriously, you didn't know it was HORTON SMITH. Please everyone knows of Horton Smith. Horton Smith is the man. JUST JOKING. I certainly wouldn't be able to answer that question either and YOU certainly made it further than I would've in the HOT SEAT. Now we all know who Horton Smith is.

Wow, what a day you had. You must've been seeing stars at the end of it. Your right, you should've bought a lottery ticket. I am so glad to be reading these reports. I have to smile knowing that someone is having such a great time in one of the best places in the world. Congrats on making it as far as you did, your a WINNER. Now I have to continue reading the rest of your reports.

yecats~ You'd think I'd have come across that little tidbit don'nt you? At the very least I could have reasoned that Horton sounds like someone who was born around the turn of the century... LOL!

Ozymoe~ Deja vu all over again! Another golf question ousts the contestant right out of the HOT SEAT.... this sounds conspiratorial, does it not?? We would have fun wouldn't we... although one should never call ourselves chunky! We are "Women's sizes"!
