I am now out of the Hot Seat... and after signing forms that state I am not a CM, I have never won anything in my life, and I cannot be back in the Hot Seat for at least 30 days (Are they kidding? Probably never again in my LIFE!) I am given all my goodies in a bag! They lead me back to my seat where all my NEW FRIENDs pat me on the back and tell me I did good! The older gentleman who followed me into the Hot Seat is now up to his 125,000 pt question... does he get "Who Was the First Albanian National Grandmother to Bowl a Perfect Game?" NOOO! He gets a SCIENCE question! "What echinoderm is in the class Asteroidae?" Before the answers come up, I am saying "Starfish... pick starfish." He picks something else and says "Final Answer". The audience groans and he is through... Poor guy! I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! He was probably the one person from the audience who got my 125,000 pt. question right and knew Horton Smith! Time has run out so no one else is able to get into the Hot Seat. They show the final high scores up on all of the screens and everyone filters out.
I stay behind to get my picture taken with Alma...I mean who is going to believe this without photo evidence? I am the last one out of the building before the next show, and I hear a child whisper as I walk by with the CM's... "She must be the Winner!" I think... WOW! I am a Winner! Maybe I didn't win the cruise... but look at all the cool stuff I got!" A CM asked me if I was going to sell my pins on EBAY since they are worth about $250 just for the pins.. I look up incredulously and say NOT IN THIS LIFETIME! LOL!
As the next group files in to see the Millionaire show, I sit on the bench outside and proceed to put my pins on my new Millionaire pin lanyard. These pins are HEAVY and I had to overlap them a bit to get them to hang straight... I then put my other pin lanyard in my totebag and put my new lanyard on.... I FELT like a Million bucks! You know that WOW moment, Disney talks about having? THIS was MINE! I was WOWing all over the place!
After that experience, nothing else in MGM could compare so I decide a change of scenery is in order...How about EPCOT? EPCOT it is! After a quick trip to the Secret Agent Parking Lot to get my umbrella and a jacket I stroll over to the dock. Someone has obviously phoned ahead to let them know that the guest who is having the BEST DAY EVER is on their way ....the boat is waiting at the dock! Andi will be our driver for this voyage. Our boat is called Friendship Launch VI. She gives us a lot of information on the way over, but the one thing I glossed over was the instructions for returning to MGM. Distinctly she told us that the last launch back to MGM from the International Gateway would leave at 7:30 PM that night.. I think "That's nice! But I'm only coming over for lunch so that won't apply to me... " I file that in the circular brain file for non-useful information." When we stop first at the Boardwalk, I am compelled to get out. I haven't a clue... I'm just going with it! Remember? Just Do It? I smile and thank Andi for the great ride... I stroll along the Boardwalk until I come to the DVC open house! I go inside. Luckily they have coffee and Pepperidge Farm cookies so I munch before I tour! No Impulse Buying for me on an empty stomach!
After the tour, I decide to check on the Sigma Delta Journal and tinbox to see what has been left in them. For those who don't know... The Sigma Delta Sorority originated over on the Swan Dolphin FAQ thread and we started a journal and a box for trinkets to share with other sorority members who stay at the Swan or Dolphin resorts. I arrive at the Dolphin Resort's Conciege desk and inquire to see them. I am met with a blank stare... UH OH! This is not good... The Concierge's converse amongst themselves and I hear "Oh, Yes"! I have seen that... I think someone took it to Lost and Found last week..." WHHAAAT?? I overhear this and politely say "How can that be? We had express permission from the Concierge Mgr. to keep the box here... It has only been a month and the box is already LOST??" The Concierge attempts to track it down but has trouble reaching anyone in Security, so she asks if I would mind checking back later... "Sure no Problem! PLEEASE FIND IT! It is very important to our Merry Little Group!"
I will NOT let this ruin the BEST DAY EVER so I jump on another launch to take me over to EPCOT! Starting to get a bit hungry here... I think I will grab a bite in MEXICO! They have the best COMBINACION platteros! LOL! See you soon, gotta eat now!
