Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where I could get crocs for the 18" My generation girl doll?

I looked on :wizard: and only saw 2 pairs and they were already $10 each!! Any other places where I could look for things to go with her?

Thanks, Wendy

If you figure it out-PLEASE let me know. "Someone" has been hinting her bitty babies NEED these. I gave her my usual "Put it on your Christmas list" LOL

If you send me a PM to remind me, I will see if I can check with some of my doll people.

Yeah, I'm cheap! It's really easy though! And, it doesn't make Brian or Lydia break out into a rash, which is a big plus! :thumbsup2

I have the links in bookmarks for the recipe I use, but here it is: http://www.thefamilyhomestead.com/laundrysoap.htm I don't put in as much water at the end as she says to though.
I'm cheap too ;) I also use that exact recipe.
And an FYI for anyone who wants to know. My Waldemart has Hannah Montana flannel for $2 a yd.

Hello everyone!

I'm finally caught up on reading but need to get caught up on posting some outfits for DD.

I love everyone's latest outfits!

I was sorry to read about all of the controversy and I'm glad it seems to be done now!

Question about the new photobucket account - do you just want Disney outfits in there? I can't imagine anyone would be interested in copying the non-Disney things that I've made for my DD. Is that the purpose for the account? Inspiration? Thanks!

4) I cannot believe you didn't keep the picture of the ferret baby bonnet! That was the funniest thing I have ever seen!

5) She had another come out yesterday at breakfast. She told she was having a hard time eating her cereal and when I looked into her mouth there was a little bottom tooth lying sideways on her gum. Our toothfairy is a bit unreliable and forgot last night so she is quite mad and I think has figured out that I swapped it out after she got up. I don't understand, it used to work with Jacob all the time!

I bolded what I got out of this LOL :badpc:

Oh my! :rotfl2: Are you trying to get me a whacked out tag or what? LOL!

Hey this was easy! I showed it to Megan and she asked so sweetly, could you make one for me when it's my birthday again? Like I would keep her waiting for something that took me 20 minutes to make, silly girl!

I think I bought the wrong size crayons though; they stick out. I'll make Megan's longer so I can use these crayons and buy the birthday boy shorter ones.

That's neat that we use the same one!!!

Shhh...don't tell Heather about your great deal on the Hannah Montana flannel! She just spent slightly more!

Those are so cute! I am thinking about making some of those for Lydia to take to kindergarten when she starts in the fall. I'm thinking that maybe I should get started soon, so I'm not sewing them up the night before she starts! That way, I can save the night before she starts to finish up her Very-First-Day-of-School-Ever-I'm-Happy-To-Be-Here-But-My-Mommy-Is-A-Mess dress!

Yeah we have been trying to reduce our carbon footprint also. It pains me to go to the grocery store and buy a new plastic bottle of laundry soap when I have an empty plastic bottle at home that I have to throw away. I wish I could just refill the ones that I have and I guess this is a good less expensive way to do it. Thanks for the info by the way. I love that website. We are going to try the bean recipe that she has on the site.

I was JUST thinking the other day that they should have dispensers in the store where you can fill up - like they do for the water jugs. We are moving back home in less than a month and plan on starting to make our own. . . and getting my mom into it, she has been having a rough time financially, so this should help with that too!

Once the crayon's are used they will be short enough ;) Just a thought. . .

Princessmom29!!!
Just saw your adorable creation on Isabelle!
You did such an amazing job and made that little girl so happy (her Mom too!!!)!!!!

:sad2: Uhhhh ohhhhh..... I just bought five (5) Carla C designs on ycmt. :cool1: I already had the Simply Sweet. :cutie: Now I basically can make anything for the girls. princess: :flower3: Sure wish buying fabric were as easy.

OK we are under a severe ts watch and tornado watch her in NJ...that includes you Miss Cammie. I don't have a basement or plan B if I see it coming. I am going to go sew now so if I die, I die happy! :lmao: See siggy for after I die! ;)

I finally got pictures taken. I swear if I ever have the idea to do another Cinderella skirt I will have to jump off a large building. I think I spent a good amount of time just cursing my idea but I finally managed to get my idea into fabric, although I really needed more fabric but I'm out of time.

Here's what I've got so far, I'm also going to reuse a couple of customs like the Animal Kingdom swing top and the EPCOT Friends Around the World swing top from a couple of trips ago, oh, and the Minnie Mouse swing top and matching bloomers. I decided to give up on too much more sewing. I will be appliqueing a few things tomorrow afternoon but other than that I think I'm more than done.

My case of Jham! Although I did use a different ribbon. :duck:

This is my first made to match gymbo outfit. I wasn't going to do this but I ended up just absolutely HAVING to make this skirt.

Delaney is going to wear it to her birthday party tomorrow. I'm hoping it stays relatively clean so she can wear it to Crystal Palace on Tuesday which is her actual birthday.

I'm half way to packed, the house still looks like a bomb went off in it but hopefully it will all come together tomorrow afternoon. Delaney's party is only 90 minutes long so we should have plenty of time to get things done.

Now if I could only remember where I put that envelope of Disney Dollars I'd 2be in business, only 30 1/2 hours to go until we leave for the airport.
Great outfits! I like your Cindy skirt. I find the more time I spend on something the less I like it after its done for a while. I end up liking it again after I've had a cooling off period. I really love your birthday skirt and MMCH skirt-I may have to make one for my 5 yo to wear to Chef Mickeys but then I'd have to make something for my 9 yo DD and 7 yo DS too. Good think our trip is 2 1/2 months away. I'm sure you'll have a very magical trip!

I got some great news about my Big Give outift! I posted before that Isabelle and Alica wanted a Cinderella dress from a discontinued pattern. I searched high and low for the pattern, with no luck. Then, I did a search here on the Dis. And, found a year old post from Laurie31 with her daughter in the dress. Her mother in law had made it. Sooo, I PMed Laurie and asked if her MIL still had the pattern and begged her to sell it to me!

I heard back from Laurie, and her MIL has the pattern!!! She is sending it to me to use (and not charging me for it!) I am so excited that I can make the dress that Isabelle and Alicia really want!!! And, what wonderful people we have on this board!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: YAY!!!!! Can't wait to see it!

Here are the teacher purses. Owls for the kindergarten teacher and the beaded handle is for Jacob's teacher. I am very worried about the handles on the owl one; I don't think they look right. I hope they like them!

Those are great!

Tessa wanted to model her new pajamas so I could post her picture for Luke to see. I used the portrait peasant top and added tiers. Then, I used the easy fit pants for the shorts.

She always has to do "the Megan"!

How cute! Worth WAY more than $10!!!!

I may have to try that. It says its low sudzing so I assume it would be OK to use in my front load washer.

Would Build a Bear fit or be too big? They are $7.

Love your fabrics and tie! I've got to try it-maybe today-I'll be sure to measure my crayons. I've got tons from last year's back to school sales-who can resist them at 10 cents a box?

:lmao: How many do you think she'll have in her class? I was thinking of doing it for my DD's preschool class of 13 as an end of year gift but didn't have time or energy. She may have up to 25 in her K class so I don't think I'll be doing that. I think I'll keep it in mind as a nice birthday gift.

Me too...I cried.

It's a beautiful outfit and Isabelle looks so happy and proud to be wearing it!!

:goodvibes

WHAT?!

seriously?

other than a bit of rain earlier we've been pretty clear! Is it just South Jersey?

I mean really...do the tornadoes know who they are dealing with?! This IS Soprano-land after all...

:cool2:

stay safe down there!!! Jay and I are going to hunker down at the nearest Chili's!:lmao: (we're hungry!)

by the way...there will be NO dying OR getting hurt. It's a RULE. :)

seriously...there is big money in children's modeling.

and pageants.

Can IMAGINE all the ruffley foofiness you could make for pageants?! You could SELL pageant dresses and be fabulously wealthy!

It's true.::yes::

:goodvibes
:rotfl2: The girl refuses to wear her beautiful pettiskirt! Plus, did you see the pictures of her when she was in the wedding? :rotfl:

Go and get a pedicure! They see big ugly man feet, how bad can yours be?
Teresa is crazy! Her feet are fine! So, what does a pedicure involve? What do they do?

These are the kind of nuggets that make me treasure this thread! :rotfl2:

Y'know the unfortunate thing about my pageant days...pictures that were taken weren't digital...:confused3

bummer.

:flower3:
There's this great new invention called a scanner!!;)

About the laundry soap:
I just timed myself, and it took me 8 minutes to make up a double batch, and part of that time was spent cleaning the bucket I use to cool it in.

In addition to it being cheap, I also like the fact that there is cuts down on plastic waste. (Corey has been really big on us "reducint our carbon footprint" lately!)
I am SO going to try this now. I need some more Tide, so this is a good time to try it and save $15! Now, do you have a good recipe for liquid fabric softener?

Yes! Please post everything you've made, if you don't mind sharing them, and possibly being copied!

I am sitting here tearing up myself. I am just SOOOO glad it came out right. It is the first thing I have made for someone other than my DD.
The outfit looks so stunning on Isabelle and looks like it fits her perfectly!!!

I was too afraid to do an outfit. I'm doing a crayon roll but for colored pencils. I printed out 100+ coloring book pages on 4x6 index cards-I bought a coupon sorter for the index cards. I brought some with me on my trip with my DD(5) earlier this month and they were a life saver at table service meals. She was most often done way before me and that 1 page activity sheet and single crayon they give the kids didn't hold her attention long enough.

Is anyone doing a journal for Isabelle? I was thinking I would do that too. I'll cover a primary composition book with Disney scrapbook paper. The primary books have room for a drawing on the top of each page.

Sawyer is going to be 2 years old in 2 weeks. *sigh*

I want to do a Toy Story themed birthday party for him. Has anyone ever made a Toy Story themed birthday cake? Or, do you have a picture of one? I'm looking for inspiration!
