Wow! I go to work and come back to this???
Sorry for this ramble....feel free to skip over it!
I have posted quite a few things that I have made. Lots of these things were my original idea, fabric combo, or whatever. I have often heard, can I CASE this or CAB this? I usually say sure.
My Mrs. Potato Head outfit is a prime example. I think I had everyone and their cousin looking at CB to find the tshirt, just to make it. Do I mind... NO... as long as it is for you own child or family. I don't want to go browsing

one day, and see that it is up for sale, with the seller boasting that it was their own idea, when I have the original still here.
I remember a few months ago, people asking what their favorite outfit was that was posted here. I remember seeing a few of the ones that I did. I was flattered.
Have I ever CASED anything? Sure..... we all see something here,

, or even local boutiques. Do I use the EXACT same fabrics? NO! I don't think I could possible even find the exact same fabric. Lots of times I like my own fabric combo better.
The main reason that I started sewing is because my wife loved to browse

and would often get an itchy bidding finger, and I would have to work a few extra days to pay for it. I didn't mind, anything for my Princess

. But I knew that I could surely make something like it without having to work 7 days straight to pay for it.
Have I ever sold a cased outfit? This answer is yes. (although I have NEVER cased anything 100 percent, I *ahem* feel like I improved the original idea with my own take on it) Did I make a profit on it..... very little. I rarely sell anything on

for this reason. I know that finding fabric, putting it all together, working HOURS on it, having my little one LOVE it, is worth more money than I will ever get.
I enjoy the Disboutique board for many reasons. The creativity, the generosity of many of you, the willingness to share your helpful hints and ideas. If it weren't for this board, I doubt that I would have even attempted my first applique. I didn't think I could EVER do it.
So again, I would like to thank all of you for your friendship, wonderful comments, and great inspiration.
Now get back to the regularly scheduled programming. I don't like this detour that has happened.
