How in the world do you put in a sideways zipper in upside down?
That is awesome, especially quilting it yourself. I have quilted fabric that has been sitting in my closet for almost a year. I think I got too ambitious!
I totally understand about not wanting to do more of them. When I went through my "knot purse" phase I made about 6 of them and now you couldn't pay me to do one more; I am so sick of them!
Hey, too much Lily!

You did a great job on the big face Tink and she looks adorable as always, I just want to squeeze her!
Very cute! I think I'll be CASEing that purse applique!
LOL, CASE the CASE!
cute cute CUTE!! Megan sure does seem to be growing up! I LOVE the shirt!!!
Don't I know it. She told me yesterday that she is no longer a little anymore since she is turning six and she hopes I am "okay with that." Actually, I am not okay with that! She is turning six on Saturday and both her front teeth are loose, I am freaking out a little bit.
She told me that it would be all right, because Scrappy would stay my little baby forever.
That is cute! I should try the ric rac along the edges, it is so sweet!
You are awesome with a toothpick, lady! The detail on the faces is extraordinary, wow!
I have a couple of questions for you guys:
1. Where do you find all your great Disney Fabrics? Some of them are fantastic!
2. Can some one explain what the appliques are and how to do them. If this has been explained several times I apologize

I am new to the thread and have not been able to read the whole thing.
Thanks for the help.
I love to answer questions!
1. Wal-Mart, JoAnn's and

(ebay). I think the most fantastic ones come from

.
2. In the first post of this thread there is a link to Teresa's bookmarks, which include instructions for lots of techniques, including applique.
Welcome! I hope you make something to share soon!
Couple questions
1- For those of you who used the
Mickey head button-adhesives- how did you get them to stay permenantly on the fabric?
2. Im still trying to decide how to use my coveted Minnie Dot fabric (I was so pleased, it was laying on the couch when DH came home and he looked at it and said "Hey- Minnie Dot fabric!" I was so proud of him, LOL.
Okay- so I have this commonsensepattern- I could do the minnie dot in the "pinafore" fabric and then yellow for the under skirt and maybe white sleeves- I really wish it had more of a short sleeve- might be too hot-
Or a halter dress-pillowcase pattern-looks like a simple pattern, and looks like it would be cool-.
DD is wearing like a size 1 or 2 and is only 32" tall....
I have a little sundress with ties o nthe shoulders too, that I have not used yet.
or, or, or.
This is a large dot fabric- if you recall Tinka Belle's recent post of her daughter with the yellow apron- its that fabric, so a large dot for a little girl. Suggestions for other patterns welcome...
Yay, more questions!
1. I peeled off the adhesive and sewed them on, but I bet you could use fabric glue too.
2. The dress you posted is adorable but may be hot depending on when you are going. Pillowcase dresses are easy and there are fun ways to dress them up (check out

for ideas). I love CarlaC's patterns and they are quick and easy (youcanmakethis.com). HTH!
Just thought I would post real quick. We made it to WDW just fine. I did get a call on the drive over from my grandpa. He told me one of cousins had died in a car accident. He is only one year younger than me so that was hard. I wanted to turn around, but pawpaw said no that that is not what Josh would want. I was trying to be strong, but when DH and Jenna fell asleep I couldn't hold back. The song Arms of the Angels came on the radio and that was all it took.
Well after we got here we all took a short nap and then Jenna and I went to the MK. She got pixiedust 3 times. First a CM gave her Mickey stickers in StarTraders second a CM stopped her on the way to the potty in Fantasyland sprinkled her with Mickey glitter and made her an honorary princess for the day third we were getting icecream at Auntie Gravities and she was talking to the CM taking our order and her supervisor was standing next to her and he gave Jenna two Tink pins, but never said a word. We were exhausted when we got back to our hotel. We stayed in the park till it closed.

So sorry about your cousin. That's nice that Jenna got so much pixie dust. I hope it continues!
Stephres ~ When you did the peasant top into an A line, did you just use pattern piece 1 and 2a from the peasant and use cutting line A? I know the length of my A line is what I want so I thought I just needed to trace the main bodice piece at the arm opening and extend the fold line down. I hope I said that right.
Ok, it really isn't that hard so I must be doing a terrible job of explaining. I took pictures to help.
Here are my pattern pieces for CarlaC's portrait peasant top and a-line jumper:
I folded the top of the a-line pattern down:
Then I taped them together and cut out the fabric:
I hope that helps! PM if I still didn't explain that right!
