Well - they are not "outfits" but here is a pic of some pajamas I made for DS this weekend. I have one more pair to go.
I got a BUNCH of plain T's at JoAnn for $2 each!!!

YAY! Stuff for boys! And I JUST made the EXACT same Transformers outfit for my DS4 who is turning 5 in a couple of weeks...we have GREAT taste! :)

I am a long-time lurker (since the first thread!) and sewer (since I was 12--*ahem* thirty years ago  ) but have never posted here.

I LOVE all the projects you have all shared :goodvibes I'm gearing up to make some outfits for dd8 before our extended family trip in August---she's the last I can sew for. Dd13 wants to make her own clothes since she's having a hard time finding things she likes at Old Navy and Kohl's etc. She has a definite sense of style but has a hard time being a size 1 or 3 and somewhat modest :goodvibes DsAlmost15 likes a Mickey tie dye shirt...

Anyway, I just want to say HI to the fellow lurker I saw in the Christiana DE JoAnn's today. We were both at the pre-shirred fabric section! I didn't end up buying any----I called home to ask ds to measure dd8 but I didn't quite trust his measurements :lmao:

I did however buy 3 of the $1 patterns for dd8!

WELCOME! So glad you came out of lurkdom! Hope to see you posting more.

So I labeled and uploaded 88 pics into our joint photobucket account.:cool1: And then there's this issue with "tagging". I have no idea how to do this....or what happens if I do. I started to do it and it looked like it was going to resize my picture or something. I don't know,,,, I am not exactly computer savey :badpc: Heck I can't even spell right now.

We had a long long but wonderful day which is coming to a fast close. Oh one more comment/question. I wrote a title and a description for each of my 88 pics. How do you get the description to show up??? Or when does it show up??? :rolleyes1 OK off to bed I go...hi ho hi ho its off to bed I go...:rolleyes1

Oh one more thing....I love the outfits posted today and Steph/Meg/Jacob/Norway pics and Revrob's sewing room and I am forgetting others I am sorry but I was very impressed nonetheless.

Someone take Scrappy for a walk :headache: :rotfl2:

Oh yes...final question....has anyone seen the new Narnia movie yet? Prince Caspian....We are going this week I think or next to see it. I heard its really good. :offtopic: ::yes:: ;)

My DS saw the Narnia movie. He really liked it.

About photobucket. If you will go to the bottom of the first page, there is something that says "tags and titles" or something like that. If you click on that, the pictures that you have loaded will pop up. There will be several pages of them. Next to each picture, there will be a tag that says "tag this item" (or something similar). Click on that, and then type in the tag name.

Weird! Mine too! Although I do have this nice little corner in the playroom, for stampin and scrappin!
My DH built this for my for our Anniversary last year.

I actually think I have shared this before, but I  My DH so much for finding space for me I just have to share again. Maybe sometime or another I will get a whole room!!

Thanks for posting your room! I remember seeing that before, but it's so cool to see it posted again. You have a great area!

Hi Everyone,

Wow - I have no idea what I missed this weekend. We were in Ocean City, NJ having fun with family. My mom and cousin Steve both had a bad cold and the rest of us are starting to sniffle - how do you tell if its a cold or allergies? Poor little tim fell and bonked his head on the corner of a chair - he and his parents spent sunday in the ER and they glued his cheek back together. They werent sure wether to go to the local shore memorial hospital or drive back home 90 miniutes to duPont - but they were happy they went back to duPont - worth the drive. Poor little guy looks okay, and wants me to make him some baseball pants (any ideas for fabric for that out there for a pair of shorts?????) how can I resist his cute little face!!!

Anyway, hopefully I'll figure out whats goin on and get back on track!!

Thanks, Wendy

I love the pirate one. What is that pirate ship, an iron on? Where did you get the fabric. I need to make a pirate outfit for ds23months for our upcoming cruise and hopefully P&PP after.

The ship is a flocked Pirates of the Caribbean iron on - I got it at Joann. I meant to make something with it awhile ago and never did so I used it for the PJ's. I am pretty sure I got the fabric at Joann too.

Rest assured that Scrappy was quite chipper when we got home and doesn't seem to feel terrible about it at all! Even while I was cleaning it up he was wagging his tail and poking me with his nose. It's a good think you're cute, I told him!

Yes, I knew you would defend Scrappy at the same time knowing that he wasn't sorry at all. I already asked the girls to watch him in July, but I will have to tell them that he needs more attention than they were giving him this go around.

Megan turned six. She left me a note on the computer Saturday so I would find it before we left: Hoppe Birfday to Megan! I am six! Luts go to disnewod!

My puppy does the nose bump too:lmao: It is a VERY good thing these hound dogs are so cute b/c they are WILLFUL to the CORE!!

Megan just KILLS me with those notes! She's a brilliant girl!!

I'm glad y'all had fun. I can't imagine a better place to spend a birthday!!

we missed you Steph!!!!:goodvibes

pat poor sad Scrappy for me!!! I would SO Scrappy sit if I wasn't in New Jersey! ::yes:: :goodvibes

Ok, this is what I've been working on this long weekend. I still have lots of work to do (organizing all the drawer space, labeling, I need to get another bookcase for fabric storage). I've been able to somewhat clean this space up.

sewingroom.jpg

SOOO! I'd love to see where you sew!

SOOO nice! I have a HUGE area in our basement, but it's not nearly as pretty as yours! And I LOVE that outfit! SOOOO cute!

Hi everyone! I posted to this thread for a while last summer before and after our trip, but since then I've only lurked. I've loved seeing all of the fabulous outfits and the beautiful children, and reading about everyone's trips. I hope it's not too creepy that I've lurked for so long, lol. I've been a regular poster on a much smaller Disney-related message board for many years, but they're not sewers and there's only one of them who "gets" boutique clothing.

Anyway, I've been sewing for a long time, and I sew some for profit, but I was inspired to learn applique from this thread and from the fact that my taste in boutique clothing far outpaces my budget for it. A few days ago I finished my first Minnie head, and I'm going to try doing her entire body soon. I did it as a sample for someone using a small size t-shirt that I had on hand, so it's not being modeled by one of my kids in the pic, but I think you can see it fairly well. I'm happy with it. There are a few things that I'll do differently next time, but overall I think it looks pretty good.

ebayApril2008155-1.jpg

I also just finished this dress for my daughter to wear on our next trip. I made it a bit large so that she will, I hope, still fit into it when we go. I had been wanting to try this pattern for a while, and now that I have it's one of my favorites.

I'm totally picturing it in my head with a white crochet cloche (that I'll have to buy. A girl only has so much time for creative pursuits, lol.)

OH WOW!   You ROCK!!!

Weird! Mine too! Although I do have this nice little corner in the playroom, for stampin and scrappin!

What a sweetie! I LOVE your organizational skills! And way to use a small space so well!!! :woohoo:

Lordy, what did I miss (rhetorical question, please don't answer that!)? I guess I am just glad this thread is still standing.

We had a great time! Here is Megan at princess lunch (it was raining, so we were a little droopy, she looked much cuter before the rain, I promise!):

IMG_0530.jpg

Showing Cinderella her book. She was impressed that "her castle" was on the cover. Poor Megan, her hair was in a cute bun before we got caught in the rain. She had a tiara too but said it was "too itchy."

For Arminda:

IMG_0538.jpg

Then my camera battery died (doh!). We have other pictures but they are on Megan's camera, which I haven't figured out how to work yet.

The tea party was fun, pretty much only cast members commented on her dress, but a couple of moms asked where I got the fabric from.

We left Scrappy in the care of the neighbor girls who babysit and I don't think they checked on him enough. I found three accidents and the house still does not smell so good. I am sure Miss Cammie will find a way to absolve Scrappy from this though.

Missed you guys!

SOOO FUN! Oh I miss the Resident Season Pass! :( Sure happy I took advantage of while I lived there! LOVE Megger's outfit! Stinkin' CUTIE! :yay:
Poor Scrappy...

Yikes! So, I'm trying to play catch-up here! Lots of things posted here. . .

So, as I was skimming I saw someone posted a vintage minnie! Sorry I didn't quote you - I had to lose the quotes because I had entirely too many!

Anyway, in light of recent things, I'd like to share my vintage minnie - I had originally held it back from posting here and I did put it on :wizard: a while back. But I'm hoping that people don't stop sharing their wonderful creations, so I know I'm going to continue sharing mine. I may put it up on :wizard: again sometime, but for now, it's hanging nicely in Ella's closet.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this one:

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday night - I'm headed to work :sad1: Hey, at least it's holiday pay, right? That's what I'm telling myself anyway. That and I have 9 days off after tonight! Famous last words. . . .

:worship: :worship: :worship:
I am absolutely BEYOND in LOVE with this creation of yours! WOW! I ADORE Vintage Minnie (absolutely my FAVORITE) and you have just outdone yourself!
WOWWWWWWWZA!

For Arminda:

IMG_0538.jpg
OH How I WISH I'd had the camera ready when I showed her this picture! (They made it home RIGHT before I started calling hospitals and the police!) She looked SOOO cute looking at her "he's JUST a friend Mom!" Yeah, right, whatever you say Arminda.... ;)
I am alomast done with my Big Give outfit!!!!! I just have to do the ruffle on the top. I am still ruffling by hand as I have not gotten up the guts to go get aruffler foot and try to use it, and I have done so much today my hands are cramping! BTW does anyone have a particular ruffler foot that they can recommend for a singer machine? Anybody ever use a ruffler foot on their serger? I just bought a singer serger and there is one that goes with it.
I would like to share a tip that a fellow diser posted awhile back for gathering/ruffling. She suggested turing your tension way up, and lengthening the stitch length. I used that tip for Lydia's Marie and Wild Minnie outfits (which had LOTS of ruffles) and it worked so nicely, I didn't even get out the ruffler! I posted the tip in the bookmarks too. I will have to go look up who posted it and thank them properly!

I did have to adjust the tension to get the gathers the right tightness, but it didn't take long to figure out what to set it at. .
Your kids are SO gorgeous!! Your son is just as handsome as all get out!!
You should see these kids in person!!! SOOO adorable!!!

Well - they are not "outfits" but here is a pic of some pajamas I made for DS this weekend. I have one more pair to go.
I got a BUNCH of plain T's at JoAnn for $2 each!!!

I'll try to write this up a bit clearer and post it on the first thread too.
Did you save the descriptions? The description should show up when you click on the picture.

I am going to have to write up a tutorial for doing this.

When you add a tag, a little box will show up. That's incase you just want to put a tag over a certain section of your picture. I centered the box over each girl, and then tagged their dresses according to princess. I also put one general tag on the picture of "BBB". If you don't want to tag just a certain section of the picture, don't worry about the little box, just leave it wherever it is. You type in the name of one tag you want on the picture and then hit save. You can then add up to 19 more tags for that picture. Just remember to hit save at the bottom of the page.

4) My sewing room looks EXACTLY like my dining room table too! :rotfl2: At least we don't have an extra fridge in there too.

LOL!!! How do you remember these things!!??!!! Tom is gone, but he was briefly (but not briefly enough) replaced with Tom Jr (a smoker). For some reason, Brian thought out tiny dining room was a great place to keep it for a month or two...! :confused3

ETA: I just reread this, and thought I should probable explain this!! We had a HUGE broken refridgerator in our tiny little dining room for about two years, before it got moved out. Arminda nicknamed it "Tom". Tom Jr. , the smoker, is a meat smoker, you know, for turkeys and beef jerky. Just thought I should clarify that!
Weird! Mine too! Although I do have this nice little corner in the playroom, for stampin and scrappin!

Im sure as others of us are in there we can add tags to your pictures.
Narnia- saw it, loved it! Thought it was even bettern than the first in many ways. This was my "Mother's Day Date Night" last weekend and maybe that added to my enjoyment of the movie.

POOR Scrappy!
I have a pet Nanny who comes and stays with my animals, she sleeps here at night- but the last time we went away Jessie had recently been diagnosed with Lyme's Disease and was on pain meds that she was supposed to get for 7 straight days. Well, our Nanny decided that no dog should take this particular pain med unless they were visually in pain- and DIDN'T give it to her!!! I FLIPPED out and wrote a very strongly worded letter to her. I was disappointed about some other, more minor things, like leaving an unmade bed, bath towel not on rack, trivial in comparison to messing with my doggies (or kitties). This time I am using a different sitter I usually use as a back up, she can't do sleep overs, but she will come 3 times a day to play with them.

I'm really concerned about Darby. Her hearing seems like it is really going and I have to make eye contact before she responds to me, and her hair is falling out in clumps- but she has no "holes" in her coat. I worry how much longer we will have her- months? years? or less.....so I do wish I had a sleep over nanny for them, but this will have do to.....they'll be okay, right?
sigh....

Oh, so sorry about your computer. Hope you are back up and fully running soon.

I wondered about those old patterns, are they quite different? Or do you not know, since you haven't read the directions? :rotfl: Good luck, I hope you figure it out!

Rest assured that Scrappy was quite chipper when we got home and doesn't seem to feel terrible about it at all! Even while I was cleaning it up he was wagging his tail and poking me with his nose. It's a good think you're cute, I told him!

It only rained the first day and was quite pleasant the rest of the weekend, so we felt lucky!

1) I missed you too!

2) We had a lot of fun. Megan did get pen marks all over her top. Do you think denture tablets will get them out?

3) I hope she comes home soon!

4) My sewing room looks EXACTLY like my dining room table too! :rotfl2: At least we don't have an extra fridge in there too.

Thanks!

How can you guys be done already? I haven't even started and I have one thing on my list to do before I can. Everyone is going to make me look bad!

I think I was going to make it white but decided the last minute to use the pink fabric I used in the front. Thanks for the compliments! Jasmine was very sweet. She and Cinderella were my favorites. Even Jacob said something about how much he liked Jasmine.

Jacob has about 10 of those shorts in different colors. He won't wear anything else, except when I made him dress up for church. Why can't 8 (soon to be 9) year olds button and zip up pants? We got those shoes on sale at Target, he loves them!

Yes, I knew you would defend Scrappy at the same time knowing that he wasn't sorry at all. I already asked the girls to watch him in July, but I will have to tell them that he needs more attention than they were giving him this go around.

Cute! I love to make pjs for my boy too.

Welcome! I hope you can share something soon. I am always on the lookout for tweener outfits, for the future!

Nice score for the patterns! I love getting them for a dollar!

I teach school and school is OVER!!! That's the ONLY way I am almost done!

Whew! Just got caught up. My internet has been down all day so I had to sew :confused3 I finished my Big Give outfit and am working on the bows. I keep forgetting bows are not my thing. :lmao: I had to try it on my model (the closest thing I have around to a size 6 :rolleyes1 ) to get an idea on length and I must say it looked cute on, my model *ahem* was pretty cooperative but drew the line at taking pictures. :rotfl2:
Please tell me you didn't put that outfit on Luke!!! That poor baby. I don't blame him for not letting you take pics. He's a very smart boy.

Well - they are not "outfits" but here is a pic of some pajamas I made for DS this weekend. I have one more pair to go.

Welcome!!!! I can't wait to see what you make.
Steph, hair spray takes out ink pen marks, spray it on there put a washcloth or paper towel behind the spots and blot from the front and the ink should be gone.

I use this all the time. Someone also told me that using a pencil eraser can get them off as well. I tried it on the Giselle wedding dress I got Delaney, it had ball point pen on it, the eraser didn't work but the hair spray did and it didn't even leave a water mark on the nylon satin.

Hope that helps!
A dry bar of Ivory soap works too. When I got married My dress had to be altered there was a pin mark on my ivory colored dress. The lady brought out a small bar of Ivory soap and rubbed it on the spot and I was very surprised that it came out.

YAY! Stuff for boys! And I JUST made the EXACT same Transformers outfit for my DS4 who is turning 5 in a couple of weeks...we have GREAT taste! :)

I had to laugh too when I saw those transformers shorts!! I made Matthew a pair with the exact same fabric several weeks ago!
I love that easy fit pant pattern and Matthew loves his shorts!!!

BIG GIVERS!!!!

Is anyone making a Mickey Mouse outfit?? I have some bows that I made that I thought would be cute to go with a Mickey Mouse outfit. I just need to know what colors the outfit is if there is one being made.

These are the bows. Jenna got alot of compliments on these and a Diser that we ran into wants to buy a set of them.

Please PM if you are doing a Mickey outfit for the BIG GIVE.

These dogs are so much worry! We found a great kennel (I am VERY PICKY about where my baby goes) where they (the owners) stay the night with the dogs. Oscar has always seemed to love it when he goes. If the parents give the okay that they can socialize with other dogs they are given around 6 hours of play time each day. Every dog has it's own room (no cages) with a doggie door that leads to an outside run. During the summer there is a pool for the dogs to cool off and swim in (built into the concrete patio, it's about 10 feet in diameter) and they give everyone a nighttime treat. They also take pictures of the dogs playing (at Christmas Oscar had a reindeer headband on - like the dog on Grinch:) ) and keep track of their eating and bathroom habits (which I told them I wasn't too concerned about so they didn't have to document it - yuck!). They will feed them their food (Bil-Jac) but we always bring our own so his tummy doesn't get upset from changing. Of course, it's expensive and no where close to our house (around 30 minutes away and of course away from the airport) but he's worth it!

Oscar wouldn't do well if he was left here by himself so this is our best alternative. Good luck with Darby, hopefully she will have many happy and pain free years left with you!

What a FANTASTIC idea!!! That is very clever!

We filled the big Potato Head this year, it was so much fun! However, we realized after we got back to our room, that we had only got ONE nose! And it was a weird yellow one! Poor Ariel Potato Head has a weird yellow nose now! I need to find some more noses somewhere!

Try this link. http://www.laughingplacestore.com/ This is where I got my parts from before we left. I guess I will have to buy more.
