I read on another thread here..... there are parents who don't like character or boutique clothes:confused3.

It seems they feel very strongly about it. I have never considered that before.

I may have been annoying people without even knowing it :lmao:

Anyway, I have tons to catch up on-we have been on spring break with Morgan's "baby" so I have a ton of pictures (teresajoy-sorry no Jord this time) to upload.

Cindee, will you be my best friend? I'm so glad you're back with us!

I can't wait to see pictures of Miss Morgan.
ETA: Of course I hadn't gotten to the end and there were pictures. The kids look like they had a great time. Happy Birthday to Morgan!

I did not know they could make cakes and cotton candy! Love her wahale dress. And I think it is super sweet that these kids get to see each other again. I am sure there was an instant bond when they saw each other again.
Lori

Making the cotton candy and cakes was a "Magical Moment" part of the Year of a Million Dreams. There was a VERY nice Disney manager who VERY nicely explained that to a not so nice guest who kept insisting HER children be allowed to make cakes too.

Morgan was THRILLED to see "her baby" and SMOOTCHED him all through the park :rotfl:

Morgan and I had a magical (busy) week.

We were able to spent quite a bit of time with Morgan's "Baby". (This is the little boy Morgan knew from China) It is amazing to see these two children reunited again on this side of the world!

We went to Sea World
shamu.jpg

and got "VIP" seats for the Elmo pirate show:

And MK (No customs, but Morgan and I wore matching Tinkerbell tees:) where we celebrated Morgan's Birthday. We were in the Family fun parade:

The kids got to make Cotton Candy (and keep the whole bag they made!)

And they made "cakes" at the candy shop on Main Street.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time and that is wonderful that she got to see her friend again.

I am never going to have time to catch up! YIKES. Or sew for that matter. I did get some new things for storing all my crafts and fabric. Well my Mommy got them. haha She leaves today. ANd of course I have to work! Out of her four days here, I only was able to spend Saturday afternoon and night with her. I had to switch shifts with another staff to do the 6am-2pm just to be able to have a semi day with her. But that is life.

How is everyone doing? I am sure I will read up in the next few days when I Hae 15 more pages to read. hahaha Just wanted to check in. We are moving forward things are going back into place...Slowly. but they are. I won't have to move. Thankgoodness. I still haven't taken a picture of the Explorer for you all.

I want to make Georgia that Elvis outfit, but have not dang time. I have no time to work out. I gained back a lb from losing 12! SO now i can eat again. haha I Need to work out so it doesn't creep back up on me.

Ok I better get ready for work now. Just wanted to drop in and say Im still here.

Had to share a non-disney magic moment my DD had last night. Her birthday is Tuesday (9!!! where did the time go! ) so last night we went to Coldstone for her birthday cone. I am a freak about signing up for free stuff on birthdays, Red Robin is later this week. Anywho...the great guys there let her mix her own ice cream!!! She is convinced she is the coolest kid ever now! (I agree!:lovestruc ) The picture is not great because it was with my phone, but just wanted to share!

Michelle- I feel the same way. I am a lurker too:)
BTW-I will be in Disney when you are. We may be going to the same PPP

How fun! We're going the 23rd, it's the only one while we're there. I'm the crazy one with the huge unipod and a teeny tiny digital camera on top - Mom's the one who's back will glisten in the lights from the crystals! (And yes, I'll have my lime green hangtag on!)

We will be there on the 23rd also:thumbsup2

I spy cash cab-
good luck with Lyddy!
I better get to bed too- Good Night!

We have to watch cable at my Mom's since we only have rabbit ears! :rotfl:
Lydia had another tough night! Poor little thing, I don't know what's going on with her lately. Consequently, Brian and I both had a rough night too, since I brought her into bed with us. As Brian put it, "She was practicing her karate moves all night". I have a horrible headache this morning, and I'm still tired!

I want some Fairly Oddparents fabric. I think that I will have to check out our Hancocks again and see if they have any.

Teresa- That is so funny about Lydia naming her bears Beary. The light pink bear in the back of the picture with Jennifer is named Beary Bear. When Jenna got the one with the Hearts on it she wanted to name it Beary Bear also.

Great minds think alike! :rotfl:
Teresa always notices that stuff! I think she should start putting little messages into our photos for her!
:rotfl:
Look at the perty girls!!! It's great to look through those pictures and see mom's house get progressively messier as the night goes on! :rotfl: It looks like it was really clean when you got there! You got some very nice pictures of it! Whenever I try to take pictures at mom's house, they always look too yellow.

Yep, the house was pretty clean when we got there, the toy room was a mess, but that's about it. I had to adjust the color to make Lydia's petti actually look a bit lavendar. Every picture I took of it looked blue!

Oh Yeah! :woohoo: My mission in life is complete!
You crackeyed me up Sally!
Gah! Suddenly I MUST get a pink petti skirt for Pissy!

Sam's looks like it's less expensive, are they the same in cuteness as the other site? I'm a very visual consumer and the other place's pictures sold me :rolleyes1

What do you petti-experts (heather and teresa) think?
Is there quantity discounts? I know of a few Utah mamas of girls that would prolly add to my order ;)

Believe it or not, Sam's makes the other pettis, so they are all exactly the same! (I think they are #815)Sam's just has REALLY REALLY REALLY bad pictures!!! The ones my girls are wearing are Sam's pettis. They are SOOO gorgeous!!! Funny though, the greenish one is a LOT heavier than the purple one, and they are the same size. The greenish one's fluff is gathered more than the purple. The $24 is a wholesale price, it doesn't seem to matter how many you order, once you get an account set up with them.

No Jord! :faint:

I love the pictures of Morgan and her baby! How sweet!!! It looks like you guys had an awful lot of fun!!! The VIP section looks very cool!!! I like Sea World, but it's been a long time since we went! Someday, we will get back there!

Wow, I love the pettiskirts! They look gorgeous on the girls! And I just :lovestruc Lydia's hair. If I could just get the stylist to dye mine that color--unfortunately anything that pretty only exists in nature  I love the picture of her on butterscotch! Now Lily is asking for both the skirt and the horsie :scared: And you must tell Arminda I LOVE her hair! What a fashion forward girl! It really does look so cute on her, and with that Hannah Montana shirt and the petti she looks like quite the fashion diva!

Thanks Jhammie! I love Lyddy's haircolor too! I tried to get her to trade me, but she wouldn't! :snooty:

Arminda loved the hairstyle too, and I thought she looked pretty adorable myself!
Does anyone have a solid Mickey pattern they would be willing to share? I need one for the shirts and I was going to blow it up to use for our countdown calendar. TIA!
Are you looking for just the Mickey ears? There are a few in the photobucket account.

How cool that they got a Magical Moment!!! How did "her baby" feel about being smootched all day? :) That must have looked so sweet!!!!

So nice to see you posting Kelly! We are all doing well. Barbara's surgery is planned for May 28, after we get back from Florida, so that's good!

That's wonderful news that you won't have to move, and 12 pounds!! Wow, that's impressive!!

Great pettiskirts and what a fun trip! I LOVE seeing all the customs!

Thanks!

Yes she sure is! I bet shes about the same age as my little girl (turning 2 April 21st!) but she looks taller than DD. I have 2 Butterick patterns that are similar, but I think Ill be doing this one, its not lined and should be easy. So- maybe Ill have it done by Thursday....

Hey all!

Fabric sale is over. I am in the middle of the post-sale anxety attack and DISing to calm down.

I have been skimming back. Lots of great stuff posted! LOVE the pettis!

Now I have to clean and start sewing again!! I have 13 days before we leave, and I have to make approximately 10 outfits!! :scared1:

And the kids are off school Friday....I am so dead....

How fun!!! We do that too - Spaghetti Factory, Red Robin, Old Country Buffet, Cold Stone, Baskin Robbins, The Keg - - etc - LOL! It is nice because Emma and Noah get their freebies the same time and then Tim and I get ours at the same time too because our birthdays are only 1 day apart. Since most of them are only good for a week - we eat out a lot during our birthday weeks!

I need some troubleshooting help please...........

Okay, I did three good button holes and then something weird happened. Now when sew button holes (luckily on junk fabric) they look weird. There is a thread under the zig-zag and the first bar is really loose. The bottom side looks fine.

Any suggestions?

Emily
