tinka - either he's a serious offender or cops in your town are bored! :lmao:
I think he was a serious offender. They had the K-9's out there. We get a lot of excitement around here. More than we want. Since Katrina we have more people living in our town than ever before. More people bring more crime. Sometime I do think that police around here are bored. The thing is this will be the big local news story for tonight's news and tomorrow's paper.

Ok I just got back from getting lunch and there was a little bit of excitement on the way back. I was happily speeding down the main road (it's actually a highway) and all of a sudden I see blue flashy lights in front of me and then I see some behind me. There are all of a sudden like five or six total blue flashy light cars coming up from behind me. I stopped at the red light and then the policeman that was ahead of me gets in the right-hand turning lane and starts pointing for all of the cars ahead of me to get out of the way, then he pointed at me to do the same. Well it turns out that the truck that was behind the car behind me is who they wanted. They surrounded him and went running at him with guns drawn.

hey look...OJ Simpson got a new truck! :rotfl:

OMG My 7 day park hoppers just came in the mail!

Oh and a question... Any ideas on a clutch/bag/pocket book I could make to go with the evening gown I just made for a wedding?

I just love the Peter Pan shirt that (Heather???) made. I like it so much I'm making it for ME! out of a tank top pattern... (I should have had girls)

I was just wondering how you all keep your houses clean. I spent 3 hours today just doing the basics. I pick up and clean stuff during the week too. I really hate the mess so I clean but it whips me out...I am exhausted and I still have a ton of stuff to do. Argggggggg....don't mind me...I am just venting.pirate: (and all's I want to do is to sew my DD's birthday outfit....hmmppsffff) Oh and while I am venting....its our anniversary and DH is angry with me (as usual) and I have no idea what I am doing to make him so miserable and he just blames me for it.....:sad2: grrrrrrrr..... OK now I think I am done  back to work!

hello again guys!! Just wanted to share my latest. I finally cut into some disney fabric to start sewing for our Nov trip

Please excuse the wet hair and funny faces. I finished it after bath time.

These are really great! Good job! November huh? That means I am behind for October! Yikes!

Hey Guys. I just need to vent...I've had just a horrible stressful day. Nothing terrible happened just small things that built up. I think Violette is starting her terrible 2's early because she was just a little meanie today. She had little tantrums all day and when I picked her up to bring her in the room for a nap, she clawed my face really hard. I was so mad and upset that I just put her in the crib and shut the door and let her scream. She takes out all her agression on me and it's really upsetting. DH is deployed to Iraq right now and my sick (mentally, physically)mom lives with me. My house is a wreck! And when I say wreck, I mean it. I don't have any clean dishes, there are toys, paper, junk, and laundry everywhere. I just feel so overwhelmed and don't know where to start. It's just not one room, it's the whole house. I wish I could afford to have someone help me organize. My organizational skills are slim to none. DH is the neater one. I just love coming on this board. Everyone is so nice and helpful and it brightens my day to come here. So, I'm sorry I've blabbered out. Just had to let it out.

You know, my DS used to pound on me and freak out on me when I had to punish him. Closing the door so you can re-coup is the way to go. It will help your perspective on things, for sure.

Super-duper! I love the outfits and the kids looks so happy! How could they not be, right?

Where can I find the Marie fabric. That's my daughter's name!!!

Ugh, I need to get caught up on all the new pages!

Mom and I started the lovely task of tracing the patterns on freezer paper so we can re-use them. I swear that takes longer than anything!

Erin tried on last year's sundress and it still fits! She is still a skinny minnie, so nothing had to be taken out in the waist. Go figure.

I received my Minnie Dot fabric from the :wizard: seller. Now I just need to figure out which sundress to make.

Hey ladies... I have been on before. I lurk constantly...our trip is coming up and I wanted to show you what I made so far:)

I am a total beginner. Here are outfits for pirate and princess party "if" we go...I might make a skirt for myself...I also made bandanas for the whole family and my dh will also have a red/white striped belt. He doesn't really want to dress up. The top of this skirt is red and white polka dots(its hard to see).

IMG_0061.jpg

My son will wear a shirt..lol
IMG_0058.jpg

My dd's animal kingdom skirt. I tried to case the dress like it, but I screwed up the bodice twice. So I quit and made a skirt.
IMG_0064.jpg

The front looks the same:) Thanks for the inspiration. I will be coming back for advice.

YAY!! Steph is back! I got my cute Megan fix for the day!

I just made this reversible jumper using CarlaC's (Sew Boutique For Dolly and Me) A-line pattern. It only took me 1 1/2 hours to make both Tessa's and one for her build-a-bear. But, I already had the fabric cut out.

This side is made from the very first fabric I ever bought, back in July. It's oranges. I thought it was very Florida-like. It also reminds me of my late Grandpa who had big orange and graprefruit trees. She'll probably wear it for one of our non-Disney days in Florida.
She thinks this first one is a very model-like pose:

The other side is some fabric that I got on clearance at JoAnn. I thought it was very happy looking. Steph made a shirt for herself out of it a while back and it was really cute.

Great outfits guys. Steph, glad you guys had a good time. I am in a bit of a time crunch right now but would like to share that Thurs. on my day off I actuall SEWED. Yup, tha's right, I broke out the new machine I got for Christmas (5 months ago!!!!) and sewed together some strips that had been cut since last Oct. Now, they are not Dis in nature, but it needed to be done. Now I need to finish it up. I am off tomorrow and monday I plan on having the twirl top, peasant dress (2nd layer) and pants all done. Keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully I'll post pics monday.

Is it bad that our trip is at the end of the month, I haven't received the two outfits I ordered from a DIS'er yet (but I've seen pics!), we don't have another family trip or cruise booked yet, but I'm already taking notes on what I want made for Mia for that yet-undetermined trip?!?

Awww, I'm so sorry you are having a bad day and your DH is being a PITA. I hope things turn brighter for you.

I made Megan take a nap this afternoon because she made messes in every room of the house and refused to clean it up. I almost can't wait until they go back to school so I can put the house back together!

Super-duper! I love the outfits and the kids looks so happy! How could they not be, right?

Thanks, they really did have a great time. I couldn't believe how well behaved they were.

Where can I find the Marie fabric. That's my daughter's name!!!

I bought it from a seller off of :wizard: . PM if you want the exact seller. She is very nice, but lives overseas so it takes a while to get the fabric. Oh, and the fabric smells weird, but after washing it is fine (ok, Umama?). It is not 100% cotton but some kind of blend so it is not as soft but doesn't get as wrinkly. I just bought some Pokemon fabric from her and in with the fabric she enclosed a note addressed to "Dearest Stephanie" so I :lovestruc her.

Love the pirate stuff! LOL about your son wearing a shirt, mine is the same way. Your animal kingdom skirt looks just like the one I made for my daughter, so of course I think it is perfect!

Yay, I am glad you got time to sew! Hope you get everything done you plan on, good luck!

Megan begged for an autograph book all week but I refused to buy her one there. We bought her one last year and filled it up so I told her I would make her one for her birthday (we are going for Memorial Day weekend) so I have to get scrapping.

Also, she brought home her rest mat to wash and it is tattered so I was thinking of making her a new one. Has anyone done one? I am going to look at TJ's bookmarks for instructions, but I think it would be pretty easy. I just don't know how much stuff to put inside. I want it to be comfy but able to fold up into her cubby. I think I have a project for tomorrow!

Oh, and I have almost finished the laundry, so maybe I will start a tr tomorrow too!

[And you guys have to know, I love you all DEARLY to share that with you because, as you know, we DO NOT speak of it....EVER!!!!! :grouphug:
You are such a sweetheart!!! :grouphug: It was fun getting to see you and your kids!
I am new here, and love making my DD clothes for Disney. We mostly have gone to DL, but can't wait for our WDW trip....here are some of my creations:

Aww, I'm sorry she didn't like it, I think it is adorable!!!! It doesn't hurt that there is a picture of Troy on it! ;) My girls tease me all the time for thinking he's cute!

BTW ( this may have been discussed, but I missed it) is anyone making the Mystery Quilt from YCMT??? I just down loaded the first two blocks today and am looking forward to this project. kinda cool...

So I'm finally done with all of the princesses dresses for the girls!! Here is the last of the dress and a summary of all the dresses I've done this past month. One more outfit - sundress - to do and then I can pack! That's right I leave in 14 days and I'm not packed!!
