aimeeg...can you please clean out your PMs??????

THANKS!!!!!

Sorry I am going to now. I keep on forgeting!

Aimeeg- I wanted to let you know that I am going to attempt to CASE your pink Cinderella dress. I just have one question...Where did you get the beads for the necklace?

I bought the beads at either Michaels or AC Moore. They are blue and wooden but are the perfect color. I think I bought them at Michaels.

Also, the dish towels are not terry cloth. They are a really nice heavy cotton. Maybe closer to duck cloth. Very Very nice. I bought them at the kitchen store at WDW. They were $15 and totally worth it!

Okay - I need help with a swimsuit for Elizabeth, who is soon to be 6. She no longer fits in the 5T which is a bummer, because all of the sudden suits go to string bikini or low cut V necks!!! I love getting her one of those sets that has a rashguard top for the beach. Then I dont get a lot of trouble about sunscreen! She does wear sunscreen, but with the rashguard top, we dont have to reapply as often. I usually get that at Target - any ideas where I can get a suit like that in a size 6/7?

I got my Elzabeth (soon to be 9) and Emma (5) nice Speedo suits at Kohl's last year but when I went this year everything was WAY too trendy for me. BUT...I did find the Speedo racing suites and nice tankini at kohls.com. I also like the Lands End suits. They have nice board shorts with a built in swim panty that would be great at the beach to keep sand out but the short alone are $25. I had a 30% off for Kohl's and only paid about $15 for the Speedos.

Sadly enough, I know exactly who you're talking about. ;)
I KNEW you would!!! :rotfl2:

my boys will have NO chance - they will all be bald. :upsidedow he was also very colic-y. :scared:

I hope you are saying they have no chance because they will be bald when they get old! Bald babies are cute! ;) Heather was both bald and colicy. She turned out ok though! :rotfl:

With all the posting of everyone's beautiful babies - it's making me want another! You'd think I would get my baby fix at work, but it's just not the same. And now that I've told you all to stop posting your baby pics, I feel the need to share! Caleb wasn't a classic "cute" newborn, but was a chunky monkey! I mean his rolls had rolls. His chubbiness made him cute, I thought! I miss that stage so much! Ella looked more of a classic newborn. They are about the same age in these photos - about 3 months old.

I really should be packing up - I'm scrappin with some friends tomorrow - but I loathe packing up all my supplies. I collect scrapbook supplies like I do fabric - so that means I have entirely too much! And I can't narrow anything down - I feel the need to take nearly everything I own - because what if I need it? So, I'll go tomorrow, use only about 5% of what I brought and maybe have one page completed! But it will be fun!

Awww, look at those chubby little arms so cute!
Ella was adorable too!!!

Thanks again for inspiring me to sew again!!! You are all so talented!!!

So I had to try YCMT easy pants and with flannel on sale last week for $2/yd I made the kids sleep pants. I forgot to add the extra for the hem & casing when I made the pattern so I had to add cuffs.

I was able to find a coordinating fabric for my tomboy DD(5):

for my DS(7):

for my DD(9 next month). The kids have never seen me sew before I made the too short shirt 2 weeks ago. My oldest aske me how I made the PJ pants look so real.:rotfl:
DSC07896.jpg

I was so impressed with the YCMT easy pant pattern-even before I sewed the pants that I bought the A Line top/dress. I practiced on a top for my oldest DD. This fabric is on sale at JoAnns this week for $1.99/yd. I have to find the book for my sewing machine to figure out how to do button holes again. I did make a mistake when making this. I wasn't paying attention and didn't sew the oppoiste side seam on the lining so I had to rip that out. I didn't make that mistake on the next one.
DSC07886.jpg

I made my youngest DD a Cars A Line top. The criss/cross back shirt I made her 2 weeks ago was too short and when I added the extra 4" to the pattern I didn't like the new line of the back. I love this A Line on her! I made her shorts using the easy fit pant pattern. I made the cuff just 1/2 size though. I also used a size smaller for a snugger fit.
DSC07897.jpg

DSC07904.jpg

I also bought the YCMT patchwork twirl skirt pattern for my oldest. Here's what we picked out for it. I'm going to make it about 19" long-I'll just add extra to each tier. The top tier will be the flag fabric.
DSC07883.jpg

Thanks again for all the inspiration. I did buy a boy's camp shirt pattern to make my DS a Cars shirt but I'm hoping Carla comes out with her pattern soon.

Those are all so cute!!! I too am very fond of YCMT patterns. I have an entire file on my computer just for those. I counted them the other day and I have 30 of their patterns. Some of them are the free downloads though.

I LOOVE the new Cars outfit!!!! You really did a great job on all of these outfits!
Our tickers are quite similar, so I will keep my eye out for you guys!

I LOVE YCMT! I have LOTS of the patterns from there as well! There are a few more on my Wish List that i cant wait to buy as well! lol, I get so excited when they have a new pattern out~

I am new to the Disboards, and am still trying to catch up to all of the post. I wanted to know if any of the sewers out there sold their creations. I love the outfits and want a few for my daughter when we go to Disney for the first time. However, I have no talent for sewing whatsoever. If someone has already answered this I am sorry for asking again but would love some info. Thanks!

Thanks! I just made sure I had them all in one folder today. I bought some plastic binder sleeves at Staples last week so I could put the instructions and created pattern pieces in a binder.

I still have to make my older DD's Molly a matching dress to her shirt and she wants Molly to have a twirl skirt too.

I love the very efficient use of fabric too. I used less than a yard of fabric to my the two younger ones PJ's. And on the floral A Line they only had 3/4 yd left on the bolt (which they sold me at 75% off) and I still have enough to make Molly's dress.

When I was making the shorts I wasn't sure they would really come out-it seemed like I had to cut off nearly all of the inseam but they fit her great!

What cuties! Check out that cute rolls and that drool! They are absolutely adorable.

I hope you are saying they have no chance because they will be bald when they get old! Bald babies are cute! ;) Heather was both bald and colicy. She turned out ok though! :rotfl:

If Heather turned ok, maybe there is still a chance for my hubbie! :rotfl:
Bald babies are adorable! But sadly, I mean my boys have no chance... all the men in my hubbie's family go bald early. I think he was about 16 when his hairline started receeding and he was pretty much bald by 20. But it's a very distinguished bald :upsidedow

you've been busy! they all look really great. I can't wait to see that twirl skirt for you DD!

I finished the she loves me, she loves me knot purse. I need to be a little more careful when cutting out my fabric :rolleyes1 But I'm pretty happy with it. Will try to post pictures tomorrow (my husband assures me that his digital camcorder takes pictures... works for me!)

Thanks! I bought her Lightning McQueen socks at H&M (in the boys dept ;) ). They have Lightning on the foot so you can't see him with shoes on but what does show is the racing checks and '95'. I also got her black/white striped barretts there-they came with red w/black dots and white w/lady bugs.

We are going 5/4 to 5/11. It is just me & DD(5). Once a year is enough for DH but not me so we take one family trip a year and I take the kids one at a time. This is actually her first Mommy/me trip. She's SOOOOOO excited.

Wow! You've been busy! Love it all - my favorites are the ducky pj pants and the Lightning McQueen outfit - I may have to case that for DD! And I was cracking up at the "how'd you get them to look so real" Love it!

How cool, a Mommy and me trip!! That sounds like so much fun!

Thanks! My 9yo is a good artist (my DH's aunt was an art teacher so she gets it from that side-I'm all analyst:laughing: ). She wants to put the patches in order and I think she'll do a great job. I don't know if I'll be able to do it before my trip. It looks easy enough but time consuming.

Thanks! I got the checked fabric at WalMart. The checks they had at my JoAnns was a poly/cotton blend but WalMart had the 100% cotton. It was a Mary Englebreit fabric.

I thought baldness was carried by the women. I think if the men in your family have hair your boys will too.:confused3 My DH was bald early too but I don't think my DS has to worry.

What a great idea! Must file that one away.... ;)

It typically is - I think you look at your mother's father to see if your children may be bald? However, in Scott's family, the men genetically have too much testosterone and so they all have gone bald early. They are just too manly for their own good. :rolleyes1 We sometimes look at my nephew (who is seven) and just shake our heads to tease my sister in law - she's convinced her son will break the mold. If only....

Sadly... my mom's father was bald too. so my boys (assuming i have any) will REALLY have no chance. :upsidedow Which is ok, because the men in my husband's family are all very handsome.

Wow! You've been busy Bernadette! Everything looks great!
Got to love the YCMT patterns!

This is for our trip in September. It is a little big but it is should fit perfectly then. The Mickey parts fabric is a dish towel set. They lady at the little kitchen shop asked me if we needed plates to go with the towels and I said or course not this is going to be clothes soon!

I am having bows and bling made to match. I am very excited about this one. Free Dining helps too. :)

Oooh!! I almost bought this dress on disneyshopping.com. But, it was the week after Henry got onto me about spending so much at JoAnn, so I didn't get it. But, I LOVE it! I think it fits her perfectly. I really like shorter dresses on little girls. It sounds like you had a great time!

The towels really make this uniuqe! What a funny story about the lady asking if you want the matching dishes! :rotfl:

I would know that was Ella! Isn't it amazing how some babies look the same when they get older, but other's look completely different? Your babies were gorgeous! I also would love to have another. I'm still waiting on one of you to offer to be my surrogate! ;)

WOW!!!!! You have REALLY impressed me! These are SO well executed, especially for a beginner. The a-line tops look perfect! I was laughing at the "How did you make them look so real" comment! :rotfl: That is so cute!

We'll be on the lookout for you and DD5 when we're at Disney. You just look for a group of 15, with some custom-dressed kids and a very handsome man who does not look happy to be there (that would be my DH)!

I love the idea of a mommy/me trip! Henry says we're not going again for 3 years (he said 4, I turned it to 3). So, I'm thinking I have to find a way to go before then!

:rotfl2: Yep, there MAY be hope for your hubby!!!
I'm not sure I appreciate this line of conversation. :snooty:

You did a great job. Love the cars outfit. I am in the process of making a cars top for my dd. I was worried about the boyish feeling, but your looks girly! Great work!
